For now, I'm going to take out the catamaran and go swim with that group of turtles I see a little way of the coast... BBQ food and drinks are packed in the boat, everyone welcome (I think I can fit you all on)

    Back to
    Sixties Music

The year is 1965 and an almost unknown rock band from Ohio called The McCoys
recorded a song called "Hang On Sloopy." "Hang On Sloopy" was
inspired by a woman named Dorothy Sloop who was a native of
Steubenville, Ohio. Apparently she had a career as a singer in the
1950's and used the name "Sloopy" as a stage name. Dorothy Sloop
passed away in Pass Christian, Mississippi. Her song will long live
on in the hearts of people for years to come....

    The McCoys', "Hang On Sloopy"

    Misheard Lyrics:
Hang on Snoopy, Snoopy hang on..

    Correct Lyrics:
Hang on Sloopy, Sloopy hang on...

Hey KT, maybe it won't be so bad if you look like Brad Pitt. Afterall he is the only living man that I have ever said was "beautiful." Ofcourse that was based on his character in Interview With a Vampire. These recent pics in National Enquirer are a bit less attractive.

"Pulled pork" is incredible! Two weeks ago I was up in Brevard, North Carolina ( famous for its white squirels ). I had some local BBQ. Gosh, I LOVE the vinegary North Carolina BBQ.
