He remembered that you gave him a "scritch' his head before sweeping him off the counter. Our animals are so forgiving of their humans.

    I understand the pain, but please know he didn't hold anything against you, treasure the good times with him.

    Sorry, didn't mean to get all preachy but I know how hard it is to lose one of those furballs,
