My sister, my cousin (in from out of town), and I were supposed to go to lunch today before I went to work but apparently they are being stymied in this one errand they needed to do. So my sister called me to say they weren't going to be able to make lunch. I was very hungry and I guess my sister picked up on that and yelled "are you getting an attitude with me?", like I was her 10 year old daughter. ARGH! Nothing makes me get an attitude quicker than someone accusing me of having one. So on her bad cell phone connection we both started yelling at each other. I have no idea what she said. She probably missed my very emphatic swearwords too. Grrrr! So now I am making lunch here. I just really hate it when she accuses me of haing an attitude when I don't.

Oy, I could use a big dose of Mellow right now. I was put in a very uncomfortable situation with a co-worker at work today. Long story short, she's really angry with me when she shouldn't be. She practically yelled at me three times today, once in front of my class.

To make things more fun, we work together at a before school tutoring program. Just her and I and an average of about two kids per morning. So I'm going to have her all angry with me in my classroom tomorrow and there's no where for me to run if she gets started because I have to stay in there.

So, I'm up fretting about the whole darn thing when I really should be headed off to bed. I could use some chocolate and a daquiri!

Speaking of my kids, I was lying here trying to sleep, being kicked repeatedly by Linnie, trying to keep her from rolling up in the blankets and leaving w/o any, my nose is kind of stuffed up and my leg started cramping and suddenly, at 2 am, Linnie started throwing up!

Nooooooo!

She says she feels better and seems to be falling asleep but now I am terrified that this will be a replay of our 2002 trip where the kids and Dave got food poisoning.

And I'm not feeling too hot myself. So, I think tomorrow will be a relaxed sort of day. We have spent the past 3 days zooming around from ride to ride, resting only to eat. Plus, Linnie loves to run so she's been running ahead of us, then running back, then running ahead, etc. She hasn't really had a lot of junk food today and has had lots of water. She did get a teeny bit burned even though I put sunscreen on her face (she's got very pale skin).

So, now we sit and wait. I really, really hope she's just over-tired and not truly sick. We don't go home for another 7 days.

Very interesting day at work tonight- Not only did we have 3 large teams checking in one wasnt connected correctly so it took 5 times as long to get them all sorted out... Add that to having to do a drunk pickup and passing out all the extra pillows we had- I need a large batch of chocolate and a Dew...
