When I went back and was picky on what colors I got, the fish guy said they were dyed and the color wouldn't matter since it would fade in a month. He then teased me and said, "What, you think those colors happen in nature?" I had no idea. My betta is a gorgeous dark purple with dark red fins, so why not bright pastel purple and green and blue on other fish?

    Well, he was wrong. They stayed dyed. They still are and we bought them four months ago. I found out that the dye doesn't harm them at all, either.
