This is YOUR time, sister. You should be doing something you would never do with him around. Like be in charge of the remote, indulge yourself in some total chick flick or get your favorite Ben and Jerry's and know that you don't have to share. Something like that. Ya can't just go to bed, silly! Unless, of course, that's what you really want to do. Then its not only okay, it's perfect.

Thanks Miss C, but unfortunately it's not something my supervisor's done, it's a company wide thing :(
I had a rubbish day today, and am having to be a late taker on Chickie D's truffles and champagne, just to cheer me up a little before I head off to bed, in readiness to do it all again tomorrow :( Work's an awful dull place without you guys in it!

Let's eat grand marnier truffles until we're sick.

Grand Marnier truffles till we're sick it is! How about some rum punch to go with that? Unfortunately I'm going to have to do it in the virtualest sense, as I really do have to get ready to go to bed now so I can get up in 8 hrs time.

    I. Am. Tired.

What in the HECK was I thinking by driving for 8 hours yesterday? It was fun but that last hour or so was really long. I had hardly eaten all day but had consumed lots of caffeine. Since we had left for Portland early (to avoid traffic) we got there 3 hours before the concert. We drove around for awhile then decided to park and hit a couple of bars before the show. (I have seriously only been in a couple of bars in my entire life!) So, on top of caffeine, adrenaline, exhaustion and no food, I decided to start drinking Jack Daniels. WOOHOO. :)

It was a trip to be sitting it in a bar w/my brother (he won $100 in video poker, so he was treating). It was something we had never done before, so that was fun. Plus, I just felt young and free again.

It was also the first time he and I have admitted that we have crushes on the same singer. LOL

I think he and I were way more into the music than most of the people there. We were in the 2nd row of this tiny theater (The Aladdin) and it was bright enough for the band to see us. It felt kind of...weird. I'd rather stand in the dark and rock out than sit in chairs where the band can see me. Especially since he and I seemed to know all of the words and were singing along and no one around us was AT ALL.

As a musician, it's cool when people know the words to all of your songs, right? Not creepy? HAHA

My daughter's bday party was a total success! Well, actually, it rained all morning so we had to move our furniture around and try to spot clean the house so that it we could do the party inside. It's very fun to watch 7 year olds limbo!

My daughter is very, very, very spoiled. :-D

I don't have an online photo album, but email me if you want to see a couple of pics from the party!
