What happens if I need to cancel or change my length of stay as I don't how long I'll be there for or what my budget will be? Do I lose my deposit? Do I even pay a deposit?

Also, which rooms are best? I'd love a Disney view and although Mum and Sis will share a bed can we get a room with 3 beds. I see some rooms sleep 5 so do they use a trundle meaning we could have a bed each?

I'm disappointed not to have a reply as I'm ready to book this now!!!

(I had to cancel my plans in Dec 2008 and waited until a few days before to cancel and didn't have any fee on my cc.)

My fav. rooms to stay in are in bldg #4 on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool area. (now Castaway Cove.) I booked that for this Dec. at $59 per night at the ent. rate. They have the nice high ceiling, which makes the room feel bigger, but the sun doesn't shine in as bright as it does in bldg. #1 to wake you up too early. There are only 2 floors in the bldg., so you don't have to wait for the elevators when coming and going.

There is also a rollaway bed in the closet. So you get 2 double beds, which are larger in size than an avg. dbl. bed,
(We really didn't notice much of a difference between them and the queen size) and the rollaway. The closet is really big, and the room is a good size, with lots of space to store things. (We've stayed there for two weeks, many times, with 4 of us, and never felt too "closed in".)

FWIW - Hojo's is a fine choice and closer to the parks than about 1/2 or DLP's official offerings.

    Thanks for the advice.

I think we are close to booking as the rest of the family thought the hotel looked good when I showed them some pics.

Once this is booked we'll get the flights sorted and then it's all real!

I'm actually considering just booking the special LP rate as there was only about $8 per night in it and by the time I've paid for the Ent. Book and had it shipped to the UK I think they might be about even!!!

Or we might keep it and buy shiny things instead. Or if I do have to give up work we may stay longer and consider staying elsewhere during our trip to be nearer to things like Universal Studios etc.

I don't want the hotel to book up now the discounts are available especially with other LPers staying there as well, but I didn't want to fork out cash when I don't even know the length of stay yet.

    Are you guys coming?!!!

Also, park wise, Tokyo is a bigger priority.

We are still in the undecided spot. Would love to g, but practicalities are getting in the way.

I've mailed cards to people in the UK and postage was only 94c, so I can afford to do that for you, as well.

A few times, I've booked the room for extra nights, and then have canceled the nights I don't need, after I arranged my flights. I tend to book the room in Jan. and wait for the flights to go on sale in Nov.

I was thinking just this morning as I logged onto LP how lucky we are to have such a wonderful community! And how lucky we are to have one anothers friendship. LPers are such amazing people. I couldn't begin to imagine a world where LP didn't exist. What a horrible thought! I just love you guys!

(Nov 30 to Dec 10). Haven't decided yet if we will fly or drive but we have time to decide that later.

Unfortunately, a couple days after we made our reservations, some unexpected and very expensive vehicle repairs were needed (a new engine!). We decided to just replace the old truck a couple years before we had planned to. We purchased a new (to us) vehicle yesterday and this has put some pressure on our finances.

I will do everything I can to make this trip happen but we may need to change a few things like make it a shorter trip and forgo the Disneyview room.

Hope to see you all there!
