YAY ME! I went shopping today, and here are some good ideas for those on WW: the Walmart brand oreos are 3 points for 3 cookies Campbells Healthy Harvest Pasta and Veggies is ZERO points for one whole microwavable bowl. Laughing Cow cheese spread is 1 point per wedge. Pair that with the Wheat Thins with extra fiber (2 points for 13 crackers), you have a hefty 3 point snack. WW Ice cream cups. 2 points per cup. Add some RediWhip (4 tbsp for 2 points), and you have a nice chocolate/sweet indulgence.

I'm not really that into yogurt but I mix it with flax meal and drizzle a little agave syrup or honey over it. I'm amazed at how good it tastes and is really filling. I'm trying to focus more on eating more fruits, veggies and whole grains. I also thinking about trying to eat raw foods for a few weeks, mostly to give myself a break and to try something new. I'm definitely going to try to eat more organic foods and use more natural products. Trying more "whole living". Just like I'm cutting out the noise and negativity, I want to cut out the junk in my diet too. I don't mind spending a lot of money for groceries...I just want it to be good, real food, you know? It seems like we waste so much money on crap. Crappy food, junky clutter. Time for a change! I also ordered a calorie counter book because I think most of us underestimate the calories/fat/carbs in most of the foods we eat. Add that to massive portions...it's not all that surprising to see why people get overweight. I don't think I could ever count points. I've done stuff like that in the past and I'm just not good at it. I tend to get too detailed. I've read probably 100 times how good a food journal is but I am not very good at that or any other kind of journaling. I'm going to try to do it this time, mostly about my feelings, etc. I figured a calorie book and maybe a scale might help me get better about portion sizes. Get used to what a real portion is supposed to look like.

So I'm back to journaling my food and exercising. I really need to work on strength training too. My daughters use the Wii and I'm going to venture into that. My goal is to lose 20 lbs but I need to gain more muscle, I'm just too squishy! LOL I wanted to say I've read all these posts (took me 1/2 hour to catch up) and you guys are all so funny and encouraging. Good luck and keep up the good work, we can do it!

I'm adding those WW chocolate cakes to my shopping list DD used to love them, another thing I forgot about. I am getting inspired, thank you everyone!!

Good reward for me << That's my plan too - I'm treating myself to a charm for my Pandora bracelet once I've lost either 10 or 20 lbs (I haven't decided yet!) I've also just booked my flights to Sydney for 8 weeks from now (for an LP meet, no less) and that's good motivation for me since I want to actually be able to look at myself in the photos. As for today ... well, I was naughty. A workmate brought cream buns for us and I resisted all day, but when there was only one tiny piece of a bun left I gave in and ate it because I knew I'd be grumpy if I decided to have it and it was gone! I made a bargain with myself that I have to get up half an hour earlier tomorrow and do some exercise, so make sure I check in tomorrow and report whether I actually did!! Sounds like we're all off to a pretty good start, though! Keep up the good work, everyone

Now I'm going to go have a small piece of salmon and a salad Oh, then a WW fudgesicle for dessert. Great job everyone!!!

I am working very hard as I take down and store the Christmas decorations to do it orderly and to only put back what I really want and discard the rest. Great going everyone. We did not make the gym as we had our granddaughter today. But instead of driving her home we walked (about 2 miles round trip). Then we did about 30 minutes of WiiSports and each did some Fit. The balance games are really important for us old folks.
