You are most welcome (and I'm sure I speak for everyone here)

I also joined WW online a few days ago, but I did it mostly for the recipes, and that I can now go to as many meetings a week as I need to.

Support here is wonderful, but there's nothing like a WW meeting to keep you accountable for your weight monitoring.

My stepfather cut out the flavored coffee creamers from his coffee and that change alone allowed him to lose 25 pounds!

That is huge Alex. Much more than some would think. When I started really being careful and woke up hungry one morning I was like, "What is that strange feeling in my stomach?" Now I do not eat unless I know I am hungry.
I am off the meet DH at the gym.

Approximately the palm of your hand is four ounces, so I try to go by the palm method unless I can actually measure things. (So a palm of meat, a palm of a vegetables, and so on) It helps that I have been trying not to eat any big "meals" but instead try to eat five or six mini meals. A piece of fruit or some veggies, and a couple of hours later maybe some protein and so on. And sooo much water!! It is more then eight 8 oz glasses. I am supposed to be drinking about 4 liters of water a day or almost a gallon (about 135 ounces which is a bit more then the recommended 64 ounces). How much water you need depends on your weight and activity level among other things.

I have picked up so many tips and tricks, and I am still finding more everyday! Makes life a bit more interesting...lol

There over at the Opryland Mills Mall they had this General Store that made fresh apple cider doughnuts and apple cider slushies. So needless to say all those calories added up <LOL>.

I made sure I have been hitting the gym daily this week and sticking to my normal diet with success because as of today I am back to my normal ( pre Nashvlle trip ) weight.

    Good luck everyone.

Then later in the evening my aunt and I went after-Christmas shopping because SuperK has 75% off of decorations, etc. Wouldn't you know that includes Christmas-wrapped Reese's PB cups and other chocolately goodness? But, I resisted. Usually I would have to get a second cart LOL!

Today: Someone brought a canister of Caramel Corn. Resisted again, and grabbed a nice, juicy apple.

Man, the diet gods are not being good to us here at work at all! I am thankful that PB works with me so we can be each other's support group.

But, as of last night I was down one more pound, so that's good.

That being said for the remainder of the night I will eat, carrot sticks (just ate) 0 point homemade soup, 2 pears, 3 plums and a satsuma, over the next 9 hours. I find eating a little often works best for me...

I am going back to an idea that has worked for me in the past. I write down a weeks worth of dinners then I shop for them. Some of the things are quickies like the chili over salad or frozen brown rice with Trader Joes BBQ chicken, some are crockpot and some take a bit of time in the evening. I might also include a "Wendy's" night or pizza, knowing the points ahead of time. I can switch up the days according to how I feel. The thing is, it gives me no excuse to not make something healthy or at least keep to my points, all I need to do is look at the list and choose. I include sides and dessert. It's also easier to keep track of points this way.

Oh, if I write down my points BEFORE I eat dinner, I am less likely to take that second portion. It's a mental thing but it works for me.

The bad thing is that I'm not exercising. I'll try some cleaning and walking in front of the tv a little tonight. Walking too much can break my feet, so I think I'm going to pull out the hand weights and a funky belt with pullies (sp) on it to aid in calorie burning. If I can find my leg weights, I'll try them, too.

I'm going to see if I have a swimsuit that still fits and try going to the gym in the mornings.

Everyone is doing great here. Maybe they should have a tv program based on our experience!

I find it so extremely frustrating and am determined to make whatever the hell I want for dinner and they can eat it or make a sandwich for themselves.

I collect cookbooks and have lots of healthy recipes but every single one has at least one ingredient that one or both of them won't eat. I get angry at their stubbornness and have taken the easy way out just to pacify them.

Can you cook up a couple of 1/2 chicken breasts plain, and refrigerate them? Then you can just add a salad or frozen veggies while they eat whatever else you're cooking. I used to do that alot when my family was all here because of my allergies.

I used to throw on a slice of lemon or terriyaki sauce or make it into a cold salad. The same works with some cooked and cooled fish. Although I'm allergic to fish :)
