The problem I run into is that my willpower fades in the evening. After a day at work, I feel the need to unwind with something sugary.

    Re: Sodas
I don't get why people are so down on diet sodas. If there are no calories, what's the harm?

For me, it's all about planning. The problem is I don't always follow the plan.

It was better for me just to cut out soda completely

What about plain carbonated water? I don't know if I can give up the fizz.

I can give up a lot, but I'm not giving up sparkling water!

I have to have protein and burgers are one of my favorite things to eat. I think the bun is the worst part...lots of carbs and virtually no nutrients. Even the wheat buns aren't that great. I have heard that sourdough is good, something about the acid changing the way the carbs are digested.

I dunno...I'd eat the burger but I am not a good example to follow. ;-)

I guess it's your body's way of making up for the fact that you feel miserable for five days! I wouldn't go crazy with the calories, but I don't think a couple hundred extra at that time is going to derail you.

I've been able to keep it off, so feel great! I can't add much more to the inspirational sayings and ideas others have posted, but just to second (or third or fourth) them. I also kept an electronic diary of my weight goals, calorie intake, and exercise. It was truly a great tool and kept me on track in making sure I was honest in logging in what I ate. I was accountable to the software. LOL

Anywho...something for Villains and her In-n-Out craving. You can order the burger 'protein style.' The meat is wrapped in lettuce. No bun, so you'll save the carbs. It's a popular item with the Atkins dieters. I know that probably doesn't help as you came for support in keeping you away from the restaurant. Sorry.

In my journey, I often found that if I denied myself something it made the craving that much more intense. It makes it harder to keep on track that way. Like others here, I would always allow myself a little taste of a treat or something I was craving. It's all about moderation.

Good luck to all you losers out there. I'm pulling for you and know you'll all meet your goals!

I am now off to work. I did pack my dinner. A frozen lean something or other meal.

I am super sore from the DVD workout I did yesterday, I was hoping to workout again but got called in. I am on my feet the whole time so that helps keep me moving
