DH offered to take me out to dinner last night, but I already had started a points-friendly dinner. So not only did we save some $$$ but also some calories. And our dinner at home was yummy too!

Weekends are always a challenge for me. I'll be checking in regularly instead of snacking like a crazy woman. I was craving jelly beans last night, weird, huh?

    We CAN do this!

Still going strong here, I got some white tea today, so I will be joining you on the white tea train ;) I am now at 5 full days 100% and loving it, I am feeling better already. Not weighed in, because the nightshifts can do bizarre things to my body, I will check again on Tuesday most likely.

    Onwards and downwards girls :)

And remember, water really is fat melting juice, we should all be looking at drinking 2ltrs a day :)

An extra set of exercises for me today :(

Good news to share! DD lost 3.2 lbs at her WW WI this morning! I'm so glad!!!! She just came over and we walked 2 miles. It's nice to have some one on one time with her and exercise at the same time.

So far so good today. Need to drink some more water. Had a lovely salad for lunch. Dinner is points-friendly.

More good news! I just found out that I get to go to Disneyland the end of March! Hooray! I need to start walking regularly so I'm ready to walk out there!

    Let's go do it!

Now it was afternoon, with winter clothes on and I had just had a homemade Grand Slam. (They are on sale again and I just had to have one.) Ours consist of only one egg, bacon and sausage and two small pancakes. But it still made me wake up to the fact that the vacation is over and though we did well; if I want to lose a few more I have to get serious again.
Best wishes to those who are already there. Hopefully by this time next week I will be reporting a loss.

Iamsally, you will do great I am sure :)

I am still going fine, decided I need to sprinkle some variety into my eating, so been on the forum for my diet and looking at some recipes and such, thinking I will be having cheesy nachos with salsa and guacamole for lunch one day this week, and I need to pick up the makings for my houmus so I have an alternative to cheese and crackers at the weekend for work... Starting to feel the energy and healthiness come back, my body really does love this way of eating :)

Pretty much fell off the wagon yesterday and ate very poorly. But today is a new day and I can jump right back on!

Going to a funeral today for a sweet lady who lived to be in her 90s. It will be nice to honor her today.

As a little side income, I bake cookies. I know that sounds very counter-productive in my weight loss, but I have a severe gluten sensitivity and don't eat wheat. So my cookies are no temptation to me since the side effects are so miserable. They smell good, they make people happy, and I love making them. I just got an inquiry last night for some cookies later this month. Looks like it might be a nice little order.

Here's to a great day for us all!

How great to be able to bake cookies and not be tempted by them cs (well kind of I supposed lol) especially if it's going to make you a little money :)

I hope the funeral is ok.

I am still totally in the zone, been a week now completely on plan, we're going out tonight to a pub quiz and for dinner, but it's somewhere we eat at quite a lot and they have choices that fit exactly to plan, apart from the fact I won't be able to weigh portion sizes, and I will be driving and spending the evening drinking sparkling mineral water :)

Hopped on the scales this morning/afternoon when I got up from my post nightshift sleep, and I am now down 8 and a quarter lb since I weighed myself last Tuesday :D

    Wow smedley...You go!!!

Csgoofygirl-Me too totally and completely! This morning I have forgiven myself and am moving forward~~

Tinkeroon-We need the rain here so badly, so it is good to be getting it all week, but it can make it a little rough to walk. I am looking for the same thing. Small not so wet periods that I can take my daughter and go for a walk to get moving again!

    Happy Monday Gang!

So, didn't eat very well over the weekend but didn't go hog wild either. I did manage to lose another 2 lbs. so at least that's something.

It's not raining here today and I am going to do whatever it takes to go for a walk. I miss it desperately.

So much stuff going on w/my family lately. My biggest concern is the fact that my brother is moving in with us for a little while. I don't really want him to but he has no where else to go. (Long story.) I was looking forward to getting the Xmas boxes out of the exercise room and using it to exercise but that's not going to happen now. All the more reason to get back out there walking. Still haven't gotten a new mp3 player, either. I've lost out on my music and my daily walk and it's definitely making me one cranky lady.

My goal is to lose 10 lbs before leaving for the cruise on February 19th. The only way I'm going to accomplish that is by upping the exercise. I've got a bunch of parties and shows to go to in between now and then (3 on Valentine's weekend alone!) It's fun to have so much planned but I'm not nearly as strict w/myself as I used to be.

Baking cookies sounds like fun. And people always love them-those who don't have gluten intolerance). I work at staying away from gluten when I can.
I buy gluten-free products from my health food store & sometime the super market carries gluten free frozen waffles. I always read the labels on products before I buy them. Anything with hydroginated oil is out.

Smedley-Hello-happy to meet you! Congrats on your weight loss. That's alot in a short time-yeh!!
When I lost 22 pounds a couple of years ago, I found I could walk so much better as I used to waddle back & forth & my I couldn't wear shoes with backs on them. Since Tai Chi I can wear shoes for the first time in 15 years & can handle long days at DL when I go. I hope your knee is improving. You are a courageous woman! Keep loving yourself with good care. ♥♥

MomluvsDisney-thanks for the welcome! Glad to be here!

Tinkeroon--if we lived closer I would be there to walk with you in the rain dear daughter! Well, I guess we will just have to get together at DL more often or I will come to your digs when the weather gets better.

It is pouring cats & dogs here but I am very happy to feel like myself again & I even got up early today. I can start my Tai Chi stretches, have a great salad with chicken & prepare for class on Feb 1st.

csgoofygirl, MomluvsDisney and mele we all fall off the wagon occasionally but it's that fact that we keep getting back on that makes us happy losers :D And mele, once your brother has been living with you a few days you'll probably have no problem finding the motivation to go for walks just to get some alone time. I know from experience as we had an Auntie living with us for months last year.
Smedley I think you are my new hero, fabulous loss.
Well I have been stuck with a middle ear infection for the past 2 days and haven't been able to exercise properly because of the head spins, but I'm still getting in the pool and using a little kick board to kick my way up and down the pool while keeping my head out of water, lol. Hey it's something. I feel a little better today so I might try a bit more exercise.
Remember, just keep swimming folks :)

One of the reasons we maintained even though we ate too much.
I am glad so many are making good progress right now.
Tonight is family dinner and I promised to make the same pie that my daughter made at Christmastime. I had not looked at the recipe. It calls for a cube of butter. (No wonder it tasted so good.)
So tonight I will make it by the recipe but it will have to be modified later on.
    Take care everyone.
