For breakfast it was organic cold cereal with banana, Dinner-spelt flour pasta with organic breast of chicken & veggies. Had 3 madelains at the movies. One of the vitamin suppliments I take is Flax seed & borage oil which helps keep everything well oiled & moving. Now that I am older with fine thinning hair, I take a vitamin called MAXI-HAIR & Calcium/Magnisuam w/D both by Country Life. It is pouring here with absolutely no let-up. Will do my Tai Chi at home today. iamsally-a Wii sounds like alot of fun! Tinkeroon-not to worry. DD, if the weight stays the same for a few days then tighten up on your program but don't forget muscle weighs more than fat. I feel the idea is to just keep on truckin' every day & do the best we can. And of course be happy & have fun! Love & support to all of you in your endeavors just for today!!!!

When Sandra and I first started this diet and exercise regime she lost 1 kilogram our first week and I lost absolutely nothing, even though we were doing exactly the same thing. On the second week I started to show results and have been steadily losing ever since (except when I'm naughty). So you can do it!!!! Yay team!!!

But it is also a great way for us older folks to regain/maintain our balance and endurance. We have been lazy and it really shows. We have to get back on track with the exercise. We have several children and grandchildren living in our small house right now and it makes it hard to make room to exercise inside.
Originally Posted By Tinkeroon iamsally...I WILL exercise too! When you said that I realized I could do that too! It's currently sunny here and I thought about changing and trying to get in a good walk, but I tried that yesterday and as soon as I got all ready to go I looked out and the black clouds were back and the rain started to fall. I'm afraid of getting caught up in that now. Still no changes, weightwise. I've been very good. I think, anyway. I got the munchies yesterday and wanted a sweet snack so badly. I grabbed a box of organic cereal with flax and ate a couple of handfuls of that right out of the box. Been having steel cut oats for breakfast most mornings. Sweetened it with a little Blue Agave nectar with a few raisins thrown in. Today though, I whirled up a nonfat yogurt, a small banana, a bunch of fresh blueberries, a mandarin orange, and a couple of splashes of nonfat milk to thin it down. Very filling. And delicious. Now, for that exercise...heavy sigh...

LOL But, the exercise is definitely paying off. I've lost another 2 lbs. I think that puts me at about 8-10 lbs. lost since Xmas. 115 lbs. lost total. I might actually reach my "lose 10 lbs before the cruise" goal. Good job to everyone who is trying to be good. Sometimes all we can do is try and try again tomorrow.

How quickly I forget as I trip over my own feet & the cats...LOL Tai Chi does help with that, too but the Wii sounds like much more fun. I hope to go back to class with some resemblence of remembering the set after 2 months of being off (DL & illness). It's amazing how the body can recover. LS----You naughty naughty girl. You just cook way too good! Yum Yum Yum! Tomorrow is another fresh day. TG!

You all know what I'm talking about, there's just a difference in commitment that you can feel. We are planning to go to a movie tonight (weather permitting) and I PLAN to portion control the popcorn. No make that I WILL portion control the popcorn. I'll report back tomorrow

I don't know if its the weather or what, but I just eat everything in sight in the evenings. So once again, I forgave myself and am working on staying on the path again.

I did the "step" yesterday too and made sure I had the blinds closed so neighbors didn't walk by and think I was nuts For the life of me I can not clap in time to their count so I do a marching move with my arms instead and imagine that it's more cardio LOL! YAY!!! for iamsally and csgoofy for keeping the food at bay Keep at it, you are doing great! We didn't go to the movie yesterday due to bad weather. Had some microwave popcorn which was actually pretty good as it was not the fat free stuff. I don't like seeing all that weird stuff on the package though. Speaking of popcorn, I'd like to go back to air popping it. I still have my "antique" machine from when the kids were little. Does anyone have any ideas to make it tasty without adding a ton of butter? I'm OK with some Smart Balance or other type of "spread" stuff. I'm cutting WAY down on my carbs but sometimes I've just gotta have some good popcorn
