We are still in Reno and I have to say that I just can't eat like I "used to." UGH! The food is AWESOME but I need to remember that I don't need to finish it just because it's AWESOME! So while I'm still on vacation and the "I'm on Vacation" bug is still lurking around, today is going to be about portion control and WATER! For some reason I'm having no problem drinking my water here :)

    Have a great day everyone!!!

mele, hang in there. I know how the rough spots in life are. But eating only makes it worse. (Yeah, I know, easy to say.) Hope things get smoother for you.

    See ya'll next month.

My mom took some blah photos. I'll post one later tonight. I can't access it from work. She did something weird to the photo when she sent it (cropped it weird) and so my nose looks funny and it looks like she made it wider. No, I swear. LOL

Stupendous job Smedley! I am envious. But then I know how hard you've worked on this!

I haven't been doing my exercises. (bad, bad me) But I have been sticking with the diet. I didn't even have any candy on Valentines Day. Or dessert! I totally stuck with my diet. Haven't lost anything more, but I haven't gained either, so that's a good thing.
Just have to convince myself that I really WANT to exercise! That I FEEL LIKE IT!! And then DO it!

mickeymeg, congrats on the 10 lbs! That's quite a start. My youngest is going to be 23 next month and I'm still carrying around the baby weight from her :[

tinkeroon, you are my hero for sticking to your plan on Valentines Day! You are in the ZONE!

I haven't truly been in the zone since last May. I've been OK, managed to keep off what I lost but that Zone keeps jumping out of my reach. Maybe today is the day :)

    Have a great day everyone!!

You do totally rock, and I don't doubt that the zone is going to come back to you soon :)

I am still totally in the zone and loving it, day 2 of the detox program, only thing I seem to be noticing is that I am totally exhausted! LOL!

Thanks smedley for making me stop whining and thinking more positively :)

Today I'm back on my mission of drinking more water :)

Here is something that has helped me and I've just started doing this again. One day a week I plan 5 dinners. They are heavy on the vegetables, a lean protein and a carb. Simple prep. A throw in the microwave dinner, a simple grill, open some cans, a crockpot meal, what ever I know my week is going to be like. I don't plan the days that I'm going to prepare the meal, I just know I have shopped for them and I have to use them or they'll spoil. If I'm tired the microwave meal is there, if I've got some time I can mindlessly chop the veggies at 5pm and throw them in a saute pan at 7. For me, having the lean meats and veggies that HAVE to be cooked MAKES me do it. I can still think about what I feel like having at 4 or 5 pm but it's less likely that I'll bail and go with take out or order a pizza. I guess this is all obvious stuff, I almost just deleted it but what the heck, I'll leave it :)

    Have a GREAT day everyone!!!

Some peoples skin isn't as elastic as other peoples so you will get different results with how your body will look.
I used to hate myself for having a stomache that hung the dreaded "dunlop ledge". However, I have had two C-sections and a hystorectomy (c-section type cut, from hip bone to hip bone just about)and I will NEVER have a tight stomache. I have gotten past the beating myself up part for not having the body I wish Icould obtain through diet and exercize. I'm just so greatful to have this old body of mine in the first place, no matter what shape I'm in. ( BTW, ROUND, IS a shape!) ;-)
I think that when you can get past that, you will love yourself and do all you can for yourself to have a healthy body.
I'm the best lumpy bumpy best I can be. :-D
