It's pouring buckets again which is NOT good for my walks :p Yes we need the rain BUT it often seems to choose to rain the heaviest during the time I would walk. I guess I'll do the "advanced step" on the Wii a couple of times :)

I go to the nutritionist tomorrow so that means I have a weigh in :p Hopefully I'll at least be the same as I was in November. She was hoping for a 5lb loss by now, counting in the holidays she wasn't pushing for more than that. OH wait, I was supposed to see her in January but that didn't happen. Whoops :I

    Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday, was my birthday so now is a new beginning. I haven't been on the scale in two weeks, so I have no idea where I am. But it's a new day and a fresh start.

So I'm eating gluten free steel cut oats with craisins for breakfast this morning.

I plan to hit the treadmill later today.

Me too! I have my bowl sitting right in front of me now. Although I think I prefer raisins to craisins because they soften up better. But it's craisins today for a change of pace. Good luck to you csgoofygirl! Oh! And Happy Birthday, albeit a bit late.

Amazed...did you have to get a doctor's referral to see a nutritionist or is this something you're doing on your own?

Sounds like you are on the right track Dave. I bet Sara is happy for you.
Tinkeroon, I eat cranberries most every day. Your smooth and steady weightloss will yield you great rewards; trust me.
We are planning to walk to the Post Office today and yes, the rain is a factor. But if I can spend all day at Disneyland in a downpour; I can make it a mile.
I think we did well on this trip. We ate SOOOOO many salads. Like, everytime we went back to the room. When we did eat in the Parks, we split a meal.
We tried the gluten-free pizza and found it wanting. I did splurge on a gluten-free burger at Logoland and it was great. First one I have had in a long time and I had to eat the fries too.

So, I am home and not even bothering with the scale. This is because clothes that I wore in December I could not wear comfortably on this trip. Yuck!!!!
I am on day two of very strict measuring and weighing of food. I found a good digital scale on clearance on this trip. So, I feel hungry all the time. But I know it will pass. I will get on the scale when I can wear the blue cords again.

As to mele's before and afters; I have seen her several times during this transition and it has been nothing short of amazing. She IS hard to recognize now.

My best to all and may the warmth of spring bring us good resolve in the coming weeks.

I'm trying to lose 10 pounds. I lost that much by last September but I gained it all back.

And once I got down the 10 pounds, I could not lose any more for weeks! I got so discouraged I gave up dieting. I mean I was down to 1400 cal. a day and no weight loss for weeks.

Welcome back to the returners, we are here to support you, Iamsally, we know how dedicated you are, you will do this :)

I am back on track after my weekend badness, still not weighed, but hopefully the bad will be undone by the end of the week at the latest! I really want to drop 10lb this month, fingers crossed I can achieve it, I would like to be there before my trip to Prague on the 26th, but that may be optimistic depending on what happens between now and then.

Tinkeroon, my MD (an internist who took over for our family Dr.) has a nutritionist in her office twice a week. The MD sent me to her because my cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure were all off and she thought I needed some inspiration and coaching. If anyone's insurance will cover a nutritionist's counseling I highly recommend it. I freely admit that she is more of a coach/cheerleader than an instructor. I don't know how I'd feel about someone telling me what to do rather than suggesting ideas :)

Welcome back Mary Poppins :) I SO understand the loss/gain thing. I've been there practically my whole life.

smedley I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I hope that you are happy with your weight on the 26th :)

csgoofygirl, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES!!! It's a new year for you, you can do this :)

Don't ya just ♥ when we overeat? The discomfort reminds us of where we want to be & gets up back on track for the next day.

Glad this is not a perfect program where we would get flogged if we stumble every so often. I would be fleshless!

I have been eating mostly good organic food in reasonable portions but yesterday went with a friend to Ikea and had green iced princess cake. My eyes flickered, I drooled and smiled.
Luckily I was in good company as we both are working on our weight & excercise regime.

Yesterday wes Tai Chi & today was aerobics & thursday is Yoga.
I thought today was Yoga but got schedule mixed up so stayed for aerobics anyway. I have never done that before. OMG! Those young ladies were flyin' around the room.
I was in the back trying to follow along as best ss I could & doing disco dancing in between.
I did alot of that so i figured moving was more impt than giving up WHICH I was ready to do 30 minutes into it.
I lasted the whole hour but tonight I am stiff of old horse.
    G help me tomorrow.....!
But I probably will go back for more punishment next week.

Tonight I am going to try veggie sushi.

Best wishes to all of you and your persistance for a better way of life.♥♥♥

    Welcome home iamsally!!!

It's supposed to be in the 50's here all week, so I plan to get outside and move my hefty self around the neighborhood. I can do this! I need to do this! I WILL do this!

What a trooper you are! I would have given up and slunk out the door.

cs, it is SO disappointing to see that weight back isn't it? Of course we have no one to blame but ourselves. We can do this :D

I have been a little lax in the department. But now that the winter is fading and I am exercising more again; I am drinking more and more.

My best to everyone who is out there trying. And thanx big time for the encouragement. I will not say what I weighed on the WiiFit today but can at least report that it is not as much as last year. But too close for comfort.

Food is right on for day 3.
