DH and I need to put on our walking shoes and get out the door. Summers coming so we'll have a lot more daytime hours to do things like that.

We got the Wii with the Active program and I started playing "bowling" or "baseball" with DH and found that it was fun, got me off the couch and got me moving. We bought the "fit" and it seriously has been a perfect investment for us. We use it everyday for some "yoga" NEVER did that before and strength and balance. Each exercise is a short stint, a minute or 2 and I don't lose interest because it's all my choices, I mix them up each day. I can do it at 7am in my jammies or 5pm before I start thinking about dinner. I'll get off my soapbox now but seriously it's the first time that I have been committed to exercise in my life and I'm seeing the results in muscle tone, balance and posture. Stepping down now.......... :):):):)

I cooked tuna steaks for the first time last night. Thanks smedley :) I didn't know they tasted like chicken. DD said "well, chicken of the sea and all that" :) I cooked her boyfriends rare like he likes it and mine cooked through but in the Forman (thanks again smeds) it was still moist. My only problem was standing looking at the fish, ahi, sashimi and something else.....what the heck, I just want tuna! oh yellow fin was in there someplace. I took the package that said "boneless, skinless" LOL! I cooked plenty so I guess I use the rest for sandwiches? I felt very food networky :)

Hi kittyprincess :) Of course you can join us :) We are a friendly group :):) You can tell by all my smiley faces :):) Lets lure you away from your
american cheese and water dinners :):) amazed is watching 8)

Have a wonderful and healthy day everyone!

I particularly like brown rice, onion, sugar snap peas and red peppers with the tuna running through it, of course this is just my personal opinion ;)

Still no weight loss since I started the antibiotics PAH! Here's hoping that I don't stray too badly over the weekend and that the walking provides me with a loss at last!!

Uh...yah... You know, I couldn't run 4 miles in 30 HOURS. But, I'm not exactly what most people would use to define the term "health nut".

I braved the scale again this morning and was down ANOTHER pound! WooHoo! Why is it you can go for weeks on end, never losing a single pound and then, out of the blue, BAM!, they just fall off?
We went out to eat with DS and his girlfriend last night. I was really worried. I have a tough time making good decisions in restaurants because there's all this good food and SOMEONE ELSE is making it and it all sounds sooooo yummy. I had two chicken soft tacos with some beans and rice. Only ate a bit of the beans and rice. Did kinda pig out on the chips and salsa though. Too tempting. But I didn't snack on a single thing the rest of the night. Except Smedley's fat melting juice. :)
Have thought seriously about getting a Wii Fit system. But we don't have a Wii so it would entail buying everything. So we are still thinking about it.
I made tuna steaks for the first time several weeks back and was really surprised by how tasty they were. I think it's something I would like to make more of and far more often.
Good luck to all of you this day!

You know, if you think about it, one pound is quite a bit of weight. Think of a pound of hamburger meat. That's a lot to shed from the body.

    Keep up the good work!

The gym is giving me insentive to work out, and be healthier. Since I am paying for it! And plus, I can jog there, it's only about 15-20 minutes away from my house.

Drank a lot more water, so I didn't get sick after my workout today. That was nice. Spent a little over an hour there, and clocked in at almost seven miles. I'm too afraid to check the scale still, and it IS only my second day. So, I'm not holding my breath.

Unfortunatly, moments after my run, I checked my email, and DH sent me a really mean email. So, that pretty much ruined my whole workout, and the rest of my day...

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome into this, very positve, thread. :)

I was bad for lunch today. I devoured some chicken wings. But, I did have a healthy salad and water. I'll say that was my meal of the day. Just a Slim Fast shake later and call it good.

Tinkeroon, I can never resist the tortilla chips either. I PLAN to skip them, then have maybe just one, yeah that's it, one and then BAM I look like I'm in a tortilla chip eating contest and I'm winning.

I behaved though and didn't have one. I opted for two WW chocolate chip cookies instead.
