I hadn't seen the client for a couple of years and DH had mentioned that our DD was working at the office. I came in during her appointment, we chatted and after a few minutes she asked if I was his daughter. DH asked how current her glasses prescription was She was serious and we were floored. I've lost "some" weight and my hair is shorter and darker than it was but LOL!!!! Doesn't say much for DH LS, you are a hoot! I'm also laughing about the George Jetson visual Tand Too funny!!

I've always thought of a 1 lb bag of jelly bellies and a 5 lb bag of sugar and a 10 lb bag of dog food. The lb.s of butter are so much more meaningful Any other ideas or "tricks" anyone cares to share to boost our journeys? My latest is to drink my water with a straw. I bought some thin ones from the party store in bright colors. I fill a glass with ice water, pop in the straw and might add a slice of lemon or lime. I'm thinking about getting some mint it makes it look pretty and looks like I am drinking something other than plain old water I also make myself drink 8 oz when I get up in the morning. One down and all that Have a GREAT Saturday everyone!

I've been doing it for awhile now. So, this is my fourth day at the gym. I've been the past three days. My second day, I ran close to seven miles in an hour. Got pretty sick later that evening, so I toned it down on Friday, to five miles, and upper body toning. Still haven't weighed in yet, I'm too scared. I plan to hit the gym a little later on today, and spend maybe an hour and a half there or so. Diet wise... not too bad, I've cheated once or twice, but I've snapped right back and have made better choices throughout the day. And, Marlin Perkins... DH told me that I should have my priorities more in line, and that he doesn't give a s**t that I've joined the gym. Which is totally contradicting himself, because he asked me to get in shape, before he deployed. I just haven't done things in the order that he wants them to be done. Needless to say, he's going to make a GREAT drill instructor one day! LS, that's so great about your bike ride! LMAO! Keep up the awesome work everyone!

My glasses are pretty small (yes they have Mickeys on them but even so, what I was assuming was 4 oz was really 7. I'd rather use those calorie points on something else so I eyeballed one Mickey and now know how far to fill the glass. Up to the top Mickey is 8oz. Man do these little things add up quickly!

I just want to be healthy for my kids. Heaven knows I'll never be able to look down and see my own toes without having to streatch my neck a bit anyways, so I'm not really going to fret about it, just as long as I eat healthy, I'll be alright. And, that's what it should all be about--being healthy and happy. If we need to lose weight simply for asthetic purposes, then that seems kind of shallow and sad. I think women especially are made to feel like they need to be impossibly thin. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with being a "chubett". I think you've got your act together, LS. Good for you! Now, let's talk about food on a stick again. LOL Can you get Slim Fast on a stick??
