The problem is I got bored and there was nowhere to go, so Fowley and I got this hair brained idea of having a slumber party with my DS and eating a bunch of healthy snacks. So we piled doonas and pillows in the lounge room and went out to the local convenience store for cottage cheese to make a healthy dip and other healthy goodies but neither of the 2 local stores had anything healthy and by that time we were sold on the idea so.....you get the picture. Then the next day we were at the local supermarket and saw half price Cadbury bunnies and were in the "oh well, we've already blown it" mentality and, again, you get the picture.
So now I'm exercising like a demon trying to undo a little of my blow out and trying to find that zone again :(

Great job on the weight loss smedley and to everyone who resisted temptation my hat goes off to you. To those of us who had a little hiccup in our plans tomorrow IS another day :)

Not stuff I normally eat anymore, so it's hard to pass up when it's available. But it's gone now and I can get back to my diet.
Anyway...kudos to you Smedley and mickeymeg for doing sooooo well! You are awesome in your resolve! MarlinP...I know I never thought I'd be drinking lemon water...and kinda liking it! LOL In fact...plain old water doesn't taste nearly as bad as I used to think it did. Who'da thunk it?!! :)

What with Rod's birthday followed by Easter and then my birthday (which is the 20th anniversary of my sister's death); I am not exactly *in the zone*.
    So, here's to tomorrow!

---->Truly hoping DH will make me a birthday salad.

Tand, just getting back on track is GREAT! Very fun idea to have a slumber party with your son and snacks are a big part of the fun after all :)

Funny thing, my mom (dad) have always had a HUGE lemon tree. Usually my mom has so many lemons that she ends up throwing them out because she can't give them all away. This year my sister and I WANT them by the bagful and the bush froze and mom had a crop of about 40 lemons. It's so foreign to us to have to BUY lemons that we come home from the store empty handed. DS came to Easter and heard about the lemon tree and said "our lemon tree has about a zillion lemons, I didn't know anyone wanted them"......my sister and I practically attacked him.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day!

With all the craziness, I was up 4 pounds on Monday. Well, it was frustrating but I knew I hadn't eaten 15,000 extra calories. Tuesday I was down a pound and today was back to pre-Holiday weight. Guess my body was just reacting to the junk and maybe some MSG.
Just have to post the beautiful birthday salad Rod made for me.

mickeymeg, are you still a troop leader? I'm sending you "stay strong" vibes to avoid the cookies as much as humanly possible :)

I'm up .2 lbs or as DH said, I've stayed the same this week :) I really thought I'd be down at least a lb as I've been REALLY good this week and then I remembered last weekend. Oh yeah, Sunday I ate 3 times my amount of points starting the day with pastry (GS did a fundraiser and whatcha going to do?) and ending my day with Sees eggs.

I plan to be REALLY good this week. I go to the nutritionist on Wednesday and at least I'll show a loss from the last visit :)

    Have a GREAT day everyone!

A funny yet disturbing thought crossed my little mind. I've lost probably 15 pounds since starting my diet. For most folks, that would be great success and they would call their weight loss goals complete. But, being as fat as I am, I notice only a small difference. It's probably equivalent to that of a skinny guy emptying the change out of his pocket.

I've had a couple of minor slip ups this past week but nothing too bad. Although I can't seem to get the exercise in because I've had so many problems with my hips. Just when I think the weather is going to get better and I plan a brisk long walk (I do have to plan these things!)then the rain starts moving back into the area. Maybe today, if I can get myself moving, I'll get a walk in while it is yet sunny. DH was suppose to be home today but was offered OT and decided to take it. So that leaves me with time on my hands. I could be cleaning the house but....a walk sounds much better...=]
I, too, am having a terrible time with the allergies! Woke up this morning, desperately grabbing for a Kleenex! I think I fell asleep with it stuffed up my nostril! :p

Marlin, no matter how much you may have to lose 15lbs is an awesome achievement! I won't hear otherwise! And yes weighing at the same time of day is the way forward. I have a routine, get up, use the bathroom, hop on the scales. That way I know it should follow along :)

I just spat my morning coffee everywhere over that :D

I'm so sorry to hear about everyone struggling with allergies, not fun.

Marlin just remember, 15 pounds down may not be noticeable to you now but in that same amount of time you will be 30 pounds down and by jingo you'll notice that!!

Unfortunately I'm with amazed and am back up 600 grams today but I'm going to stick with it and exercise my pattootie off this week and hopefully by next weigh in I'll be back on track :)

Easter is over and we can all do this!!

And like Tinkeroon, I have been know to sleep with tissue up my nose.

Not doing as well as I would like but am determined to get back to it. The weekend may be bad but I usually do well if I say, "Monday is it!" and then follow through. So I am looking to that.

I took allergy shots for 7 years, yes 7 years and they did help. I can now get by with homeopathic pills or claritin if it gets really bad. I just need to remember to take them BEFORE I leave the house!

Marlin, seriously 15 lbs is AWESOME! Go to the store and pick up a huge bag of dog food or kitty litter and see what that feels and looks like. You are well on your way to a healthier you! Keep it up!!!!! I've said it before that my issue is I keep losing and unfortunately re gaining the same 10, 20, 30+ lbs. This time lets lose is and keep it off :)

I've been exercising more this week (Wii Fit) so I've decided that I've probably gained a couple of lbs of muscle :D In my dreams anyway.
