Amazed, yes I am still a Brownie leader. I will be spending at least a few hours at the mall this weekend selling cookies with the girls. I will do my best to stay away from the samples. It also means I will have 30+ cases of cookies in my car for the next few weeks until they are all gone.

At the clinic I go to to get weighed they have a lump of silicone 'fat' which weighs 5lbs, it amazes me each time I look at it, I might just have to see if I can sneak a picture of it. When I think I have lost more than 11 of those I find it seriously shocking! No wonder my knee is improving for not having to drag all that around!

Amazed, be as good as you, can then back to perfect after, say hi to the meeters for me :D

On our last trip to DL they had some of those in Innoventions. I think they were 5lbs, 10lbs and 20lbs. Fowley and I just stood in front of the cabinet in shock thinking "wow we have lost 2 of those". It put it in perspective :)

Yup this is it, although the picture doesn't really show you just how big/heavy it is. You're right though Tand, it is kind of amazing to see!

I'm sure if we woke up one day and suddenly our stomach was sticking out when it wasn't before then we would have jumped on the problem then and there. But it sneaks on bit by bit and that's how we have to shed it off as well.

So just know that every little step down is something we all should be proud of, cause lord knows this ain't easy otherwise we'd all be there already :)

smeds, thanks for the picture of the fat piece. That is so gross looking! It's so funny that we could buy it :) I know it's for weight loss centers and such but still. Hmmmm, that would be something to have around though, wouldn't it? Maybe attractively displayed on top of the refrigerator or in a lovely basket next to the cookie jar.

mickeymeg, I was a brownie leader and cookie chairman or whatever it was called. Also a Campfire leader and mint patty chairman :) I didn't care for the table sales and tried hard to pawn it off on the parents. Good luck with your sales!

Amazed, measure now, you can track it from here then. I tend to find if I don't lose a lot of weight some weeks then I have lost more in the inches dept.

How random would it be to have one of those in the kitchen! LOL! Of course some time in the next week I expect to need 12 of them to reflect my weight loss!! As that is my next big number to go through :O

Thanks ! The thing is that even if parents come I still need to be there as the one in charge. Hopefully we will be able to go through a whole lot of them and I will have much fewer left in my car. We did really well with sales in the fall so I ordered a bunch more this time around as this is our major fundraiser and now all the parents are fairly unenthusiastic about it. Good grief.

The ones that take the boxes and then let them sit and end up returning them are killers. It's a lot of responsibility and one that I don't miss :) You are a saint for doing it and I'm sure the kids and parents appreciate you :) Have a great day, I have confidence in you that you won't eat even ONE cookie!

smeds, that's a great idea about measuring now. It's not like I'll be at my final goal anytime soon. I may even have some old measurements tucked away in a drawer that needs to be cleaned out, I'll check today :)

Weigh in was this morning and I was down 3.6 ! I couldn't believe it I had to ask if she was sure she was reading the scale right ! Some sort of fluke I am sure, hopefully it doesn't creep back next week.

Cookie selling went ok. Didn't sell quite as many as I hoped but we didn't do too badly either. I did eat one from the samples box, but I was careful not to let one turn into several. I have a bad habit of letting that happen =)

It seems so easy to gain back weight when I'm dieting, almost like it's sitting waiting to go back on in 3 and 5 pound increments. Other people don't have to worry about this but I'm afraid I have to keep a constant vigil on my weight.

We went to the movies today and I caved in on the popcorn again. I thought if I ate beforehand it wouldn't be such a temptation. I thought wrong. I guess popcorn is one of my weak spots. Sooooo hard to smell that and walk away! Told DH to just get a small and he comes back with the large! Arg!!! Of course no one forced me to eat it, but...how can you NOT?! It's popcorn!! I would really like to UN-eat it now, but it's not going anywhere...except to the hips and thighs!!

Tinkeroon, DH does the same thing "to me" at the movies with the popcorn. I used to carry a small paper bag in my purse to transfer the popcorn from the "vat" of popcorn that DH was holding so I could portion control. I need to find one of those bags again and keep it in my purse. You'll be fine and we can blame it all on Shiva!

Mary Poppins keep up the good work! I totally know what you are talking about with those 3-5 lbs.

mickeymeg, congrats on the loss! You are doing REALLY well! Are you on a program? (if I may ask:)

Hang in there everyone, we can do this!
