I've been so so this weekend. No planned healthy meals but I'm getting my exercise in so I feel OK about that pizza I ate last night, whoops! Oh, here is a lesson story.......so we were at California Pizza Kitchen last night and we looked at the nutritionals (now they are on a separate menu to look at, not in your face if you don't want to see.) We made some "healthier" choices and while the server was taking our order I thought we should have some greens. DH made a snap decision on the servers suggestions and ordered a "wedge" salad. UH OH..... We get a wedge of ICEBERG lettuce covered with dressing, blue cheese bits, hard boiled egg shreds and bacon. NOT that we didn't eat it but seriously that has about zero nutritional value other than some protein maybe. I think DH is kind of getting the hang of it but its a slow process. Just because something is listed as a salad doesn't mean its good for you. Have a great Monday everyone!

Serves me right for being a scale junkie. I know I have been eating well and getting quite a bit of exercise as we get the farm organized enough to leave it in the hands of our son and daughter-in-law for two weeks. Yikes! I am a bit worried but will not miss my granddaughter's first birthday luau.

It is the beer with dinner and later in the evening the caramilk cooler that went with the frozen yogurt that I could have done without. But in the end it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. I have to have a checkup with a dermatologist soon and I'll add this to my list of questions My food choices have been so so lately. I really need to journal. OK, I'm starting again today. Have a great day everyone!!!!

Long story but I bought a BUNCH of underwear that I really liked a number of years ago. I stuck the extras away. Well, then I gained weight and the old ones were wearing out and ripping from being stretched so much. I refused to buy more new ones even though the waist bands rolled up under the fat. Yuck!!!! Well, I am down enough that I can wear the new (old) ones. That is just one of the reasons I will be *on a diet* this trip. With Rod on board it will be much easier than in the past.

Monday is DH's birthday and an ice cream sundae is his "birthday cake" of choice.

I caved and had pizza the other day. BUT, it was a small pizza so I couldn't have very much. If it had been bigger, I would have kept right on eating it! Tonight it was burritos. Great big burritos. But I only ate half of one, though it did have a lot of meat in it. As soon as I shut down my computer I think I will try to do some exercises to ease my conscience a little. And hope I don't wake up in pain in the middle of the night! Sounds like a lot of us are having slip ups lately. Is it something in the air? Summer is coming...that always gets me eating ice cream and a variety of unhealthy things. Even though there is a bumper crop of wonderful fruits and vegetables to try. Had a good tuna steak yesterday with a really yummy green salad, so I do have the good stuff too. I have stayed away from my scale though. It's becoming like some demon monster that stares at me from the corner of the room and I try to look at anything but that.

Slow and steady like Tand's story right? Eating out is so tough. I rode along with DD to a job interview the other day and we went to a "sourdough" bakery/lunch place and I ordered a full sandwich on a ciabatta roll. I did it without thought and ate it without thought. When we were finished DD looked at me and said "It's not Boudins" LOL! but kicking myself for stuffing my face with a just OK sandwich.

I know it's a big ask, but given I am working nights weekend the food will be spot on, and I will be at the gym tomorrow night, and probably Sunday night too, it is possible. The big key now is not to blow it *too* badly while I am away camping, amazed shall be my inspiration in this! Given I wanted to be at target now I am not where I was hoping, but I am determined to be there at the end of June/beginning of July before my girly shopping trip!
