I see my MD tomorrow to go over my latest lab work and to figure out what to do about my HDL numbers. I hope everyone has an "in the zone" day or are at least hovering in the area

I am a habitual meal skipper as I am always running kids here and there. I fear that the older I get the harder it will be to take this weight off and since the "baby" just started first grade I really cant call it baby weight anymore can I? I began with walking last week and just dusted off the treadmill and started running today for the first time in a year....a little rough but I am determined to shape up. I have two teenage daughters and I really would like to be a good example for them. After reading through this thread I just wanted to be a part of this group, you are all so supportive of eachother!

By the way, my last baby is 23 and I have never quite made it back to my pre 4th baby weight. I've come close only to gain it back. I'm a typical yo yo dieter. I'm moving in that direction now so who knows, maybe by the time we celebrate her 24 birthday I go to the MD today so that means I get weighed I hate their scale! Have a great day everyone!

I am also being referred to a cardiologist because of family history. It's added to my anxiety lately so the MD says it's time to be checked even if its for my peace of mind. Man getting older is not fun. Well it's a LOT of fun actually but the health part isn't. Anyway, I've said more than you care to hear so today I am going to officially hit the button and get back on track with my tweaked version of WW. This is after we meet with our insurance guy to figure out how to keep a health insurance plan that doesn't cost us $$$$$$$$!!!!!

That's what I'm loving about this Dukan diet, it prescribes only 30 minutes of walking to lose weight and when you get to your goal you only have to keep doing 20 minutes a day to maintain. I was piking out of exercising 3-4 times a week and getting really slack but since I've started this diet I haven't missed a single day of exercising. Speaking of progress, today was weigh in day again (like how I slid into to that then?). I am jumping over the moon to announce that this week I've lost 1.3 kilos, 1cm off my waist and another 2cm of my hips making me the smallest I've been since I started trying to lose weight in November 2008 and effectively undoing all the damage I have done this year. Yayyyyy Good luck to everyone else on this wagon and may you all have an excellent week

Oregon does have nice cool weather, fall is my favorite season but it feels almost like winter here all of a sudden.

First off I want to say welcome aboard to oredisneyfan. Lots of love and support here. I have been a good solid 134. Not a (I peed 5 times last night low) but the real thing with my PJ's still on. Not my goal at all but still, the best I have been since 2004. And I am not getting crazy and thinking, "Oh boy, now I can binge on ice cream!" I just keep weighing and measuring. I spent today putting up tomato sauce and baking cookies. I love that I can feel happy eating just one cookie and knowing there will still be a cookie for me tomorrow. Exercise is still left wanting but we are working on it. There is a lot to be done on the farm before winter. I am hoping that once it is all done we will have time for the gym. Just have to get it into the schedule. Congrats to everyone in the zone and hugs to anyone struggling whether you are posting or not. My best: Ruthie
