Good work amazed, sounds like a very healthy sandwich option and you only ate some of the caramel apple. It could have been much worse right ? Don't worry about the pizza, I am sure you will work it off playing with your grandson today =)

I am super happy to say I made goal(mostly) today ! I did have to make a slight adjustment (1 lb) to my goal, but I have been so close for so long that I just want to get on with the maintenance part. I am happy where I am, and I am sure the last lb will go away eventually.

Congratulations on making goal mickeymeg, that must feel incredible :)

    >>Do you have an eating plan for when you come to DLR?<<
Yes I plan to be very naughty and get back on the diet when we get home :D We only get over here once a year or so and the food is just too nommy and any damage can be undone again so I'm not going to stress about it. But Fowley and I are going to split all of our meals so we exercise a little portion control :B

I agree weekends are tough and work also keeps me on track. There is just no time to think about food and the schedule keeps me on track exercise wise.

I have long since thought I was a healthey eater and only a meal skipper but as I started keeping a food journal these past weeks I find that I eat when I am bored or watching TV. (usually not the best choices either) Wow I have been in denial all this time :(

One of these days I will have some good news to post but since I am just begining it seems like the scale gos up and down. I am feeling better and just keep telling myself "muscle weighs more than fat, muscle weighs more than fat..."

The luau came off great and I did really well. The food was wonderful but I managed portion control and was able to utilize leftovers on Sunday.
Still gotta get myself into the ol' exercise mode. Aches and pains plague me when I do not stretch everyday.

Strength and courage to anyone struggling. I have been at this for several years so I know how it can bounce around. This time it is looking so much better, so far.

BUT no one seemed to know that, including me. Weird week of trying to figure out why I couldn't sign in and now I've lost interest in it. Sigh. I do need to get back to journaling though. OK, that's it I'm going to start today with a pen and paper like I did years ago :)

I've been doing fine food and exercise wise. Anxiety has me second guessing every food choice :p I feel like I'm NOT eating sometimes just because I can't think of what to eat. Sigh. I'm going to the Chiropractor today and she has some ideas for me :)

For those of you who haven't read all the posts the past couple of years :) After being a yo yo dieter my entire life, I have lost 22-25 lbs over the past 20 months, which is a record for me. I should lose 15ish more but can't seem to. My journey (this time) was started with lab work at the MD's and a showing of high cholesterol and then a visit to a nutritionist.

I was doing the happy dance in June as I had lost and KEPT the weight off, my lab work was GREAT and the MD's were very happy with my results :) I was taken off the prescription cholesterol meds! Then life sort of took over, lots of ups and downs over the summer and I lost focus. My weight didn't suffer but my arteries are evidently NOT happy. Family history of heart issues is making this really important for me. I need to focus on what I eat and EXERCISE more. So in a nutshell :) We are all in this together for whatever reason :) We are doing GREAT! maybe not each and every day but coming back here and posting shows that we CAN do this!

    Have a healthy day everyone!

Good luck with the exercise, I am in the same boat with needing to do it more. I just need some motivation, time, and someone to drag along with me to kick my butt when I am being wimpy.

I plan to get an exercise bike like Tand posted the link to. I think something new like that will be nice for the upcoming colder months.

I see a cardiologist next week and the nutritionist so I hope to be super motivated a week from now :) Trying hard to stay off the meds unless I HAVE to take them! Disclaimer* I am not against meds, I just tend to be one of those "possible side effects" people so it always takes trial and error before I get the right one. Sigh. But I am thinking positively :D

I'm only down 400grams today but we jumped off the wagon a little this week to see what it would do to our weight loss (all in the name of science of course). We decided to go into the 3rd stabilization phase of the Dukan diet for the last couple of weeks before our trip to try and kind of "set" our weight loss and get our bodies slightly used to more calories so it's not such a shock when we eat badly on our holidays. This means that we now have protein plus veges every day, 1 pasta meal a week and we're allowed 40g of hard cheese, 2 slices of wholemeal bread and 1 serve of fruit a day. We also get to have 1 "celebration" meal a week where we can choose anything we want as long as we only have 1 serving and don't go back for seconds. So from now on I'll just be trying to keep at this weight :)

Good luck fellow battlers, we can do this!

Tand, I think you and Fowley have a GREAT plan going! So wise to get your bodies used to the proteins and more calories well before your trip.

smeds, you are doing so well! I know what you mean about the journey never being over. BUT reaching a goal is a great feeling and I know you can do it :)

Today I go to the nutritionist (another weigh in :p ) I haven't seen her since May and I have a lot of questions. I've been sooo good for the past week or so but I feel like I'm forgetting something.

So, how is everyone else doing? :)

Okay, this brought up a mental image.

I am still hanging in there. My weight is hanging around 133.something. It has dipped into the 132 range a few times but it is not solid yet. But when I have a few extra it only goes to 135 instead of 142. That my fellow users is progress. Very sloooowwww progress but I am feeling positive about it. I am actually looking like I have a figure again.
My daughter is coming to visit and then we are driving her and her kids back to Seattle. That is where I packed on most of these pounds so it always worries me. But both she and I and the DH have changed our relationships with food so much that the last few visits have gone fine. So I think it will be fine again.
Best wishes to all of you out there.
