Well I am one week into the stabilizing phase of my diet and I am down 500 grams?!! I'm supposed to be stablizing!!! And I even shared a mini cookies & cream cheesecake with Fowley on 2 occasions and ate a Cornflake biscuit last night so you've got to be happy with that!
However, tomorrow is my mums birthday so tonight we are eating nummy treats and birthday cake. Yeah I'm a rebel ;)

For me it's always been the extra cracker or cookie and the portions creep up and up. If I ignore that stuff I can have that pizza on the weekend or piece of cake at the party and not lose my momentum. Or so I say :) Good luck!

Tand, the cornflake biscuit sounds good :) I love dried fruit in cookies.

    Have a great day everyone!

Not huge amounts but it is adding up. I will do silly things like gobble the toddlers left overs or sneak a spoon of peanut butter while making her a sandwich. It is entirely self sabotage, but I know this and yet still do it. We have a fancy dinner out planned for tonight, but then I think I am going to yet again psyc myself up for a fresh start and try extra hard this week. I will try to keep a plan in mind, maybe even write it down to see if it helps.

Cornflake biscuits do sound much better than what I was imagining =) yum

Sometimes in my WW journal I'll write down my dinner points in the morning. I know what I'm going to have so for portion control I trick my mind into thinking that I can only have so much of this or that at dinner. No extra spoonful of rice or whatever :)

Not eating out is an admirable goal. We almost never do anymore and it makes a big difference. (Having no money has helped us with this.)
Sounds like everyone is making progress and that is so good.
I actually hit 132.0 yesterday. My underwear no longer roll up under my fat.

I have become a big fan of the internet access to nutrition at the restaurants. iamsally is so right about the salads! I was able to scale back a Wendy's salad last night by removing the dressing and chips from the Baja salad to make it much healthier and I didn't miss the stuff one bit.

I am finding that using WW online is helping me a lot. It's keeping my eating in check and reminding me to balance my calories/fats/fiber. I just need to keep an eye on the carbs myself, but that's my health issue and not a typical one.

iamsally, you are amazing! LOL about the undies :)

Today would have been my dads 90th birthday so we are celebrating him by taking my mom out for dinner :) She wants to go to his favorite steak house. I already know exactly what I am going to have and will NOT be swayed :)

I am doing the happy dance as I'm down another lb and a half :) Some clothes that didn't fit in June are fitting now. I am SO in the zone! It won't last with the DLR vacation but I hope to at least be mindful of what I eat and then hop back on when we get home ;)

Oh dear, that just happens. I know the frustration as it happens to me all the time. But if I stick to the plan it drops back down and then some.
Please do not get discouraged. It will get better.

Well I'm finally chiming in here again, it's been a while due to my trip... the funny thing is I weighed myself after getting back from Disneyland and I was down a little over a pound. I continued to eat horribly all week, figuring I'd give myself a week to settle back into being home before I started attempting to diet again. I weighed myself this morning expecting the worst and... I'm down another 2lbs! How does this happen?! Anyway, I'm doing my best to ignore that and I'm trying to get back into the zone as best I can (although I still have most of a 2 pound box of See's Candies to polish off!) I also haven't exercised since I got back and I'm really noticing the difference, I was just too tired and trying not to stress my body too much on my first week back at work. So this week I'm getting back into healthy eating and exercise... based on the last couple of weighs I'll end up gaining when I actually do the right thing! ;)

Keep up the good work everyone...

ophelia, YAY! for getting back on track and not being discouraged :)

Today we are going to a BBQ at my sisters house. I WILL avoid the chips, I WILL avoid the chips!
