Oh and I bought some organic Blue Agave to use as a sweetener in my coffee and tea. I'd never even heard of it but it's suppose to go into your system slowly so you don't get those sugar rushes. I decided to give it a try. It's good! The flavor is very mild. Like using honey. It's slightly sweeter than sugar so you don't have to use so much. I put about a teaspoon in my tea and it was really yummy. Not sure how it will go with my coffee though. I'll find out in the morning!

Todays blessing is realizing that I am taking back control of my life and my health! I am better for it, and so it my DD. Happy Monday!

I have been wanting to try it too, but can't find it. I'm goingto have to go to Trader Joe's I think. Also, I toolike to use yogurt on pita's instead of mayo, but I put the yogurt in a Magic Bullet and I add some garlic and parseley, or sweet basil to it. It come's out so good like that. there's alot you can put into plain yogurt to fancy it up. lol
    Everyone is doing so terriffic!

I helped raise money for Brandi's foundation, The Looking Out Foundation, last summer. I'm sharing it here because I talked about it last summer but mostly because I post here more than just about anywhere else (besides WE).

MlD-Sounds like you have a good food plan and attitude for the day.

mele-That looks like a great way to spend your day. Looks like you burned some calories for a very good cause too.

I really wanted to snack last night but wasn't really hungry. Just wanting to eat, you know? But I didn't give in and eat, though I do admit to whining about it a little bit. Do you think whining burns calories? I didn't think so.

Today is the start of a new week filled with opportunites for successful living and good choices!

Back on the straight and narrow till I hit target now, I reckon about 28-30lb to lose, but I haven't weighed to find out the damage yet so I am not sure LOL!

Good luck, smeds! ;-) I was scared to weigh myself after the holidays. It's my goal to lose at least 10 more lbs before my trip next month. I've got almost 5 weeks to see if it can happen. I really need to start working out with weights and start doing some toning.

I am hoping for 5lbs before my birthday in a couple of weeks time. Then to have lost everything by mid May. Fingers crossed!

Well done on the loss Mele, I know what you mean about having the MP3 player to walk with. I have physio this afternoon and I am going to ask the guy that takes the class about maybe adding in a little more exercise during the week, we have the gym here at work so I would like to be able to maybe cycle or use the eliptical a bit and do some toning.

I did pretty good today. I had tuna steaks for dinner with steamed broccoli and stir fried peppers.
I don't feel like I'm losing anything though. My pants don't feel any looser. I know it doesn't happen overnight. I've been down this road before. But it sure would help if it felt like something positive was happening.
Congrats to you Mele! And good luck Smed!

This morning I had scrambled eggs with salsa and an orange. For lunch it is more of the homemade chicken noodle soup.

I know I have not lost any wieght, but I am feeling a bit better. Now if I could just sleep for a bit more the four to five hours at night, I would be doing well.

It's supposed to hit 60 degrees here in Colorado today, so the chubby chihuahuas and I will take a walk at some point during the day.

Anyone have any Disney trips planned for the near future. I think I will get to make a trip to Disneyland in May. Can't wait!

Last year I was able to make 3 trips of several days each. Not sure what this year holds for me. My son is getting married in Ventura County in August, so I'll be there in August and May. If I can squeeze in another trip or two I will do it.

I am very lucky at times..lol. Being a native Southern californian can have its perks (and its downside..have you seen the cost of living and state taxes?). I was born and am originally from the lovely San Fernendo Valley (smirk). Currently, I am in Lake elsinore, about 60 miles north or San Diego. It means that disneyland is only less then an hours drive, so no excuses!! lol

I would love to meet and hang out at the park. Of course, my lovely DD would accompany us (she is a toddler, just to warn you).

I hope Rod responds positively to this. It is so much better when we work together.
