Too many of these current Peoplemover discussions keep thinking in '67 Infrastructure terms. (Trying to work around the '67 and '77 buildings). If the source that gave me this info is correct ... you all can say goodbye to the "'67" layout .. which will probably include the '77 Space Mountain complex with it (Leaving Space Mountain away from the bulldozers, of course). If this is true, then all the road blocks that Cal/OSHA is insisting on (regarding the current '67-'77 infrastructure) will simply vanish. Clearing the way to imagine another ride of some kind, that can circle the land, with bird's eye views .. of the new exciting land, below.

Can you elaborate?>> Even in 1967 the People Mover was simply a rambling ride. It failed to demonstrate itself as a from here to there transportation system. No matter, it was bitchen as it added a new kinetic dynamic to the whole TL-67 mix. Then along comes Rocket Rods which had the potential of taking TL even further along into the future. Rocket Rods lent the original trackway a fresh cosmic-cosmopolitan feeling. (Yeah I said it.) Rocket Rods' last run was in April of 2000. For the last 11-1/2 years, the trackway has sat idle. TL continues to drift further and further away from being a futuristic showcase. As someone already mentioned, the spaghetti bowl of trackways sitting atop the Sub bunker creates a limiting factor of possible future expansion. Back to the PM trackway; it simply takes up too much real estate to make it a viable attraction again. Same goes with the Monorail. The Monorail's trackway should lose the spaghetti bowl by simply following the RR tracks for the most part and cut over to the Materhorn at Small World. In the end, the People Mover trackway should simply be removed someday. It is the only action that makes real sense.

This includes, Star Tours, Buzz, and Nemo and maybe even Space Mountain. It would be great to start over completely.

There was an "E" Ticket issue on the design of this 'spaghetti bowl. I'd hate to see the Monorail track straightened out. Those esses and overlapping portions are much of the fun for me.

Nothing ever gets done - it's a domino effect.
