Am I voting for the person who did better on any given night, or am I voting for my favorite? I'm guessing most folks vote for the favorite. If that wasn't so, Jason Castro wouldn't have stayed on as long as he did. During the regular season I call in and vote for whoever I thought did well that night, many times making multiple calls for multiple contestants. But Tuesday night all my calls went to David Cook. He didn't have the better night, but he was by far my favorite throughout the season.

They both seemed overwhelmed at times and I enjoyed that. The polished manufactured artist was absent. I'm thrilled Cook one I think he was consistently hands down week after week the best performer. I thought it was by far the best finale of any of them.

And that's fine. <A lot of us commented all during the season that while really liking him David Cook came off cocky. I didn't like David Cook that much at first, and was one of the ones who commented on his cockiness. That really subsided in subsequent weeks, though, and I started liking him a lot more.

Anyone else worried Carrie Underwood was gonna flash a little too much into the camera when she was near the edge of the stage? I was really relieved she didn't pull a "Brittany", LOL +++++ I really enjoye the show. I can't imagine the high David Cook must have felt realizing he was actually on stage performing with ZZ Top! And so many recording artists who graced the stage with these up and coming talents. I don't care if they were promoting themselves. Just an FYI since I saw a comment about the David's being given gas guzzlers. They were hybrids.

LOL After reading today about how he went on a date with Kimberly Caldwell (sp?), it's probably good that he was the eventual winner. I think he will probably handle the newfound intrusion into his life a little better with a few more years maturity under his belt. I loved the final show. I actually thought their two voices blended together pretty well.
