That was great, creative and captured everything about movie making today: Basically, living in a world of movies. I wonder why people aren't talking about that more opening more? The opening clip about why the former hosts couldn't do it was funny as hell with Stewart and Clooney in bed together at the end. As for Jon Stewart, yeah he seemed a little nervous at the beginning and I couldn't figure out why he was 'hiding' behind the podium the whole time. Most of the host I can remember like Crystal, Martin, Goldberg and Chris Rock were moving around on the stage, being more animated. He looked like he was a scared little boy who was waiting to get pelted by an egg. But, I thought his jokes were funny and spot on though. Again though, I have to admit, I NEVER understand why they make such a big deal about the Oscar host? Every year, its like the countdown to who is going to do it. I mean, after you get out of the first 20 minute dialouge, it doesn't really matter all that much. The jokes aren't really all that radically different. Sure, some are obviously funnier than others, but its just a lot of give-and-take jokes about Hollywood, celebrities and politics that everyone gives. None of them can seriously go into their own material since they are really just poking fun of Hollywood in general. I know they have their own little pieces throughout the show that kind of suits them (and that was Letterman's downfall lol), but does it REALLY matter? Crystal hands down has the best opening shows and probably why they keep asking him to do it, but outside of that, its not much of a difference IMO. Charlize Theron's dress....yeah, AWFUL!!!! I don't usually care about that stuff, but the second I saw her sitting down with that huge Christmas bow, I thought to myself, "What were you thinking girl choosing that?" Of course, I had the 'pleasure' of seeing Aeon Flux on a plane a few days ago and had the exact same question . Reese Whitherspoon, never really liked her all that much. A little too white-bread for me, BUT, that acceptance speech was amazing and its really the only one I can pretty much remember in full a day later. George Clooneys was also very good and liked how he added how the Academy gave a Black person an award during a time we couldn't even vote. Great reminder why sometimes being a liberal is still okay in America . All in all, it was fine. Always too long, but it kept me entertained and was funny enough. Maybe Stewart will come back next year, but if they keep with tradition lately, the newest 'it' boy won't have a chance lol.

Go to IMDB.com, I'm more than sure you can get info about it there. They also mentioned they stayed friends after the movie and still see each other for birthdays, holidays and etc. I think it was the reason for the pairing .
