So, Goof, are you in danger of losing your job with the Mouse? Or have you already? Or are you just trying to save someone's a$$ by attacking the messenger?

Oh, and have a magical day!

So until I have some reason to think otherwise, I'll accept that the Spirit is telling it as it is.

If you express any sort of "doubt" about the motivation behind those posts, you are immediately labeled as being on the payroll for Disney (or whatever company's management they are lambasting at the moment).

The Spirit actually ... sadly ... has very little ego.

And since a few folks high up the Disney food chain have told me they know of 'your insignifcant online activities'
(and I'm assuming they're not talking about the same fetish porn they're likely into!), I will continue to keep on with my (pause for a very long self-assured laugh) inSIGNIFICANT online activities here.

I've also been told by Disney friends high up the food chain that I'm regularly read, and even quoted, at the company. I like that.

<<All I know is that he is very knowledgeable (with the exception of his misguided opinion of DVC ;-) ) and I have no reason to doubt what he says.>>

Trippy, I LIKE DVC. I just had a wonderful stay at the Boardwalk Villas. Last year, I really enjoyed Saratoga Springs. You well know my issue with DVC is how it has been added at WDW resorts and not developed outside Orlando, which I think is a big business mistake.

But I'm pretty damn sure I'll hate the 4-story DVC Tower that Disney isn't building this very minute at the Contemporary!

<<We have no way of knowing what Spirit does for a living or what business connections he might have.>>

    And you won't either.

But I think you'd be shocked by the latter, and mildly surprised by the former ;-)

<<So until I have some reason to think otherwise, I'll accept that the Spirit is telling it as it is.>>

I have had an excellent track record over the past year if I do say so myself.

    well, I wouldn't hate that.

There ARE folks who post here (and on other Disney sites) that do earn paychecks from the company.

    That's a fact.

Some post for their own agendas individually.

Some post just because they love the company and want to share that.

But there are others who post to further whatever agenda is coming from Burbank, Glendale, Anaheim and Orlando. Sometimes the agenda isn't even what the company wants, but rather what factions inside said company want to see happen or not happen.

And that is why I'll always be suspicious of any posters who believe Disney can do no wrong or who show up suddenly when something major happens in the Disney world (or at WDW) and posts in a way inconsistent with most fans.

I see things I don't like, and things I do. But I have to give The Spirit an apporving nod in that he has the ...stones to tell it like it is.

Just understand my only agenda here is very out in the open: to see TWDC run its parks in the best way possible for all guests, to adhere to the Disney Standards that they CONDITIONED me to expect through 25 years of excellence in visits. (and appears to have forgotten in a Decade of Decline)

And if that costs people some jobs, well, that's life.

    WalMart is always hiring ;-)

So is WDW. In fact, I'd venture a guess that there are more job openings at WDW on a given day than at all the WalMarts in Central Florida -- maybe in the entire state of Florida.
