The previous administration saying that it wasn't torture doesn't mean it wasn't. And this administration saying that it was, does mean it is. ALL the documentation needs to come out and it needs to be reviewed in a relevant court. If it is determined to be torture, the laws were broken and people need to be held accountable for that. If not, and we dont like it, we need to push to have those things included in the laws that govern these situations. Doug and I are never going to agree on what is considered "ok" in these terms. But that's ok too. I don't much like his opinion, but that doesn't mean he's not entitled to it. He thinks I'm a wuss or unamerican or whatever for not agreeing that it is ok to do these things to people in US custody. . I'm ok with that. I know I'm not.
