Originally Posted By EighthDwarf "So who are we going to go after next month? The Hindus? How about the Buddhists!" This all began because Mitt Romeny, A Mormon, is running for president. I think a religion as misunderstood as the Mormons is worth discussing -- as do others apparently. I don't think we're forcing you to participate. And I like your idea of discussing other religions as well. I find it all very interesting.

It can be perceived in different ways, but it doesn't change the way it is. So whether it's the purpose of planet earth, or what color my phone is, truth is truth. Well, here are a handful of the KEY important eternal truths that I believe in: 1) God lives, and is the father of all of all spirits who have dwelt on this earth. I call him Heavenly Father. 2) Jesus Christ lives, is the creator of this world, came to live here, suffered for the sins of the world, gave up his life, and was resurrected to an eternal, glorious, perfected body. 3) Through Jesus Christ, we can be purified and made holy to live again with Him and Heavenly Father. I'd say those are the top 3, for me.

She jokingly told me that I was not allowed to have it because it was a secret Morman recipe. We have those potatoes at least twice a month, and I have been asked for the recipe 50 times. We thought "funeral potatoes" was kind of depressing...at our house, we call them "killer potatoes." Sorry again for the interruption.......
