PB, I would have loved to have shared that walk with you but I know there are times that the park enfolds us and speaks to us on a one to one basis. I felt that same magical hug a few years ago when I received a phone call telling me that my father was in the hospital and was not expected to live. Some might scoff but I know it's real. As far as that particular guest, it was a no win situation that you handled quite well. DFL8's advise is perfect. I've been in customer service for 32 years and use the same technique. It's amazing that once an irate customer has vented and they can sense that you are taking them seriously and ARE willing to help how many of them will apologize for their behavior and become open to compromise. It doesn't work with everyone but it works more often then not. You have every right to as proud of yourself as I am, and have always been, of you. <--goes to place a cone in front of that lady guest's car.

It's very relaxing!

It really is quite magical - the west side at closing time is especially quiet, particularly if there hasn't been a Fantasmic. One nice thing is you hear the ambient sounds so much better without all the "background people noise."

It's good to give back and that's what Disney wants us to do in 2010. "Give A Day, Get A Disney Day." That shouldn't be an incentive in my opinion, but I've done a lot of voluntEARing for Disney over the past 7 years and I'm really glad I have because I know that it's making people happy. So don't let this bad experience ruin anything for you. There's always one bad apple in the bunch of Guests you will encounter day after day. I worked at the Parks for 7 years and can only remember a handful of the mean Guests I dealt with. Everyone else seemed to be loving where they were and trying to forget the troubles of the outside world. Roger.
