There was about 2 inches of water covering our entire bathroom and more was pouring out of the toilet like a lovely waterfall. “ACK!†I shouted. Mark shouted back “What’s wrong?†“ACK! Water!†is about all I could get out. Mark jumped up and ran to see what I was talking about. Run, run, sploosh! Mark ran over to the main office (thank Buddha they moved it right across from out place!) and came back with a guy named Don. Don was awesome. He helped us stop the waterfall, get the water out of the bathroom, called the carped guys to bring the shop vac that “could suck the hide off a rhinoâ€, told us our crapper had a bad flapper, gave me a high five for knowing the name Thomas Crapper, called me “Sissyâ€, told Mark he should take me out to dinner because I deserved it and is going to get us a full carpet cleaning. We love Don! Still we have a large patch of carpeted area missing padding now because they had to rip it out and we had toilet water all over our bathroom, towels and it even leaked under the wall into the kitchen. Ugh! Plis our bedroom is in shambles because we had to move everyhing into one corner so they could rip up the carpet. ~Beth

And when I went in the bathroom I got the same sploosh ( love that term btw!) under foot. He had flushed their toilet and left. It had carried on filling up!!!! I called the owners parents who came round and called a plumber. Oh Im a great house sitter, every time I looked after their house something went wrong! A hamster escaped, ate part of a joke book he found, swelled up and died once! the kids were devestated when they came back. The vet said it was a long standing illness, nothing to do with the joke book BTW A bird flew in , pooped on the cream sofa after eating black berries!!! The cat disappeared for a week. The alarm wouldnt set. The thermostat broke leaving the house freezing. these were over a few years by the way...not two weeks! they've moved house now ( wonder why?)

I told him several days ago that I was taking Mark to dinner for his 1/2 birthday (I like to celebrate 1/2 birthdays. Its a good reason to have fun and show someone you care!) and I invited the friend along. I called today to remind him about our plans for tonight and he said he would see how he felt after work and let us know if he wanted to go. He does this EVERY time. I find it frustrating that he expects us to wait until he gets off work just to see if he wants to go instead of commiting either way now so we can adjust our plans if we need to. GRRRR! Really, we like this friend a lot... he's just been on my last nerve lately. LOL! ~Beth

I was pretty anemic as well and had to take iron supplements, plus my doctor was really worried because my vitamin K levels were so low. I finally decided enough was enough and had the surgery. It was painful, but I figured that I had already been through enough pain and at least this was a temporary pain and after it was over I would be feeling much better. Now my life is back to the way it should be. For the longest time I had to be very careful with what I ate because many foods would make me sick. I'm looking forward to a trip to DL in May when for the first time in three years I get to run around and eat anything and everything I want. Long story short, I'm understanding your fear, but it sounds like this will be for the best and you'll have the well wishes of everyone here to help get you through this.
