However, the behavior at our school has gotten SO atrocious that substitute teachers won't come back. So I end up being a substitute. I've spent the last two days in a fifth grade class where I've broken up several physical fights, many verbal fights, I've had kids sneak out, blatantly cheat in front of me, be absolutely rude and defiant, the list could keep going but I'm sure you get the idea.

Sending kids to the office usually results in them being sent back less than an hour later. One came back with candy yesterday.

I know there's going to be quite a few teachers out tomorrow and I would be one of them except my cousin is coming on campus to give a presentation for career day. I was hoping to see her presentation but I'm not sure that will happen, I'll probably end up subbing again.

19 and a half days with students left...

Painkillers aren't touching it, I am currently wearing a heat wrap over the shoulder/neck area where the pain is... It's helping a little, but the pain is still pretty severe.... Oh and work is crud too...

    Stupid neck.

I cat-sat for a girlfriend a couple of weeks ago so the kitty didn't have to go to the kennel for the week. Kitty "stropped" two of the leather chairs in my dining room. (Okay, she only punctured them and didn't shred them but still.)

    I wanted to "strop" her.

    But I didn't.

    But I *really* wanted to.
