When a Dr. tells you not to walk for six days, that's nice in theory, but doesn't really work in real life. So last night I'm heading to the freezer to get an ice pack for my foot. The kitchen is a disaster as I've been trying to finish our kitchen remodel by tiling the backsplash while standing on one foot. Husband was also in there and the cat. Suddenly DH had a rapid regression to a five year old. I saw the look, but it all happened too fast for me to stop it. He hit the switch on the wet/dry vac which scared the cat who jumped and landed on my good foot with all claws extended and used my foot to push off of as it ran out of the room. SOoooooo, now I have the really sore foot from stepping on the stick AND really nasty claw marks over the top of my other foot.

A week ago Saturday, I hosted 20+ people for a luncheon after my nieces baptism. Sunday, I went to a vigil and rememberance for a friend's dad. Monday morning was the funeral Mass, then I left for Palm Springs immediately afterward.

In Palm Springs, I spent the week helping my parents clean out the house of and move my mom's 81 year old cousin. On Saturday morning, I woke up with an ear infection and had to coordinate coverage for out-of-town stuff, as Palm Springs doesn't have Kaiser. Drove home on Sunday - almost 500 miles.

Last night, I couldn't get the artichokes to cook in the microwave. This morning I tested it, and it's dead. It runs but won't heat. I just scheduled GE to come out tomorrow.

I had the cable company out this morning because we switched to HD and our picture was worse than ever (he fixed it).

Just now, I left a message for the spa company because the LED screen for the controls has gone blank. Everything still works, but there is no display.

I didn't sleep at all on Sat/Sun nights. Finally slept last night, but hubby woke me up at 5:30 am when he threw his pillows on the bed, landing them two inches from my face.

My left contact was driving me nuts, so after cleaning it 3 times, I decided to wear glasses today.

I think I'm going back to bed now.

I typically have a blood pressure of 110/70, but when I was pregnant on the day I was being induced, my blood pressure shot up to 180/90 simply due to nerves. You should talk to your doctor if you are worried.

He thinks that there is still something in there and thinks that I will probably have to have surgery to remove it. :(

Please keep us posted.
