Sure does seem that way, don't it.

    <--saw Larry play, many times.

<--saw Carl Yastrzemski. Came close to seeing his 3,000th hit game, but the one I went to he didn't get there, and the next game it was my cousin's turn to join my Dad at the park...drat!

<--saw Michael Jordan play, when he was a young punk getting his butt handed to him by my Celtics. :D

<--probably most special, not to mention my earliest live pro-sports viewing memory, was seeing Dr. J play (and yeah, the Garden gave him his due and lots of cheers when he dunked...he was awesome!).

    Anyway, thanks!

They do the same thing if the team loses. Any excuse will do I guess.

And that "umbrella dance thing" is called a second line, LOL.

However, in NO you don't need a main line to have a second line. It's just an impromptu parade, usually (but not always) with umbrellas.

Probably my favorite basketball memory was getting to see the Celtics play the Knicks on Easter Sunday in the old (real) Boston Garden. My mom had a seat behind a concrete post, but my dad and I could see the court. Bird, McHale, Parish were all playing for the Celtics then. Those were good times to be a Celtics fan! I still follow the NBA, but I know it's not what it used to be.

Same here. I grew up a Bears fan, like my father, and Grandfather, because there was no professional football in Texas until 1960. I was a Houston Buffs baseball fan, because there was no pro baseball team in Texas back then either until 1962.

Otherwise known at the box office as "slightly obstructed view". :p

(and there were TONS of seats like that, I wish I'd taken pictures...cheap bastards wanted to get every penny they could!)

    Been there, done that.

And boy do I feel old.

Somehow today's NBA isn't the same ... and Monday night I got to watch D-Wade and LeBron put on one helluva show.
