It's nice to be back, believe me. I was in a serious funk after pulling my own plug, as it were. Arguments, vitriol and general abrasiveness are what led me to quit Wikipedia.

I post here, on RCGroups.com and on occasion on a couple of small hobby-related wikis. That be it, kids. The internet is a big, nasty place and an oasis of fun like this is a rare thing.

Oh, and WA: Thanks for putting up with my e-mails.

It is a place where I can travel parts of the globe, and where there is something that can be learned.

    It is live entertainment.

It is a place where I can feel like a father, a son, a lover and a friend in the extreme.

It is a place that reminds me of what is great about humanity.

It is where I would rather be (or one of it's siblings).

If the thread was closed, it was because some people were getting a little too hot about their opinions. I'd assume the thread is still there - there's no way any of us can delete a thread. Only moderators have that ability.

    Oh, wait. Wrong thread. :)

To me, it's the feeling of knowing that the day is totally devoted to no bigger a decision of whether or not to grab a churro as opposed to a box of popcorn. It's when the worst situation you have to face is a slightly longer than usual line at a favorite attraction which actually makes savoring the experience that much sweeter. It's air-conditioned bliss in the Tiki Room, the Star Tours preshow featuring the woman with the donuts in her hair, the launch countdown to California Screamin', a good glass of wine at the Trattoria, doing the "grand circle tour" of the railroad when you're tired and nodding off to sleep...ah, how I could go on.
