Maybe, but that many things off is pretty inexcusable. It's actually making me kind of angry as I am recalling the missing parts.

I've seen the ride when almost, if not everything, is working. Splash is probably in my list of top five rides at WDW.

I suspect that I did hit on a really bad time, but it DID leave me with a bad memory. However, the problems in the laughing place cave offend on many occasions in my experiences.

Again, agreed. There's a lot that is just the luck of the draw, but not THAT much. Bare bones is the bare minimum, and I expect more out of Disney, too.

No way. I went 7 years between trips (2000 and 2007). Although we had fun, the highlight was visiting with friends. We had goone to Disneyland Paris and Disneyland a few times in between, and in comparison, WDW made me angry with how far they have slipped. We are now only contemplating going to WDW again as a couple of days of a larger trip to visit friends, WWoHP and Legoland. The quality of the place is poor compared to other Disney resorts and in fact, even compared to non-Disney parks.

Funny, I have never seen either operating, or the Yeti, and the last trip we can add uncle Wilbur, Zeeke, the MAyor in the Well, and oh so many more AA's, that is unforgivable IMHO.

What makes it so bad for you?

I can agree on the QS, but eating at the Plaza was a nice meal...

Even the so called greats of Liberty Tree, Crystal Palace and the former King Stefan's do not offer the same quality as Epcot or DHS. And the counter services aren't a patch on any of them.

In Dl, there are some fantastic QS and table service experiences. And Blue Bayou and Club 33 are really unique (well except they have them in Tokyo too).

DLP has 4 outstanding table service experiences that give Epcot a run for their money.

If the MK is supposed to be the flag ship, then dining is really something they need to work on. Though the ave WDW guest seems to have quite a limited pallette too.

Guess I am helping the decline in that respect...

As for clean, well the QS were filthy when we went in 2007 - Columia Harbour House and Cosmic Rays, sticky horrid tables and rubbish everywhere.

Agreed that the QS were pretty bad back then... We were kinda grossed out in 06.

That's gotten better, too. We ate in Pecos this past trip, and they had a guy spraying down and wiping tables before we sat down.

Tony's is "Meh". Not bad, but not good.

It used to be one of my favorites back in the day...

Not true. Le Cellier, Biergarten, and 50s Prime Time are all awesome, IMO.

ORWEN: Plus--unlike Disneyland where you can find a place to eat breakfast WITHOUT making reservations--the Magic Kingdom doesn't have any breakfast locations for people without reservations.

ORDDU: We agree with Davewasbaloo. The food offerings at the Magic Kingdom really aren't that good. There are a few exceptions here and there. But overall we prefer what Disneyland has to offer for breakfast, lunches and dinners.

I would add the Yachtsman Steak House, Olivia's and the real best kept secret at Disney - the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. The common denominator is that the dining at the Parks is not even close to the dining at the resorts. The only place at the parks that enjoy is The Plaza.
