But some of most wonderful times I've had at WDW have been after my wife and I became "empty nesters". After all the distractions and pressures of child-rearing are done you really have a wonderful opportunity to fall in love with each other all over again.

There are so many great romantic things to do at WDW.

Taking the boat down the Sassagoula River to DTD at night, holding hands the whole way.

Watching Illuminations while sharing a glass of wine. So much goes unspoken, but just the same we each know what the other is thinking.

Walking back from Epcot to the Boardwalk after Illuminations. Taking your time to really absorb the gorgeous views along the way.

A wonderful late lunch at the Brown Derby when you almost have the place to yourself.

Taking the boat from Fort Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom. If you have not done that you are missing one of the premier experiences at WDW.

Laughing at each other while bombing around Fort Wilderness in a golf cart. I will never forget my wife’s reaction when I pulled out onto the road from the Meadows Trading Post, floored the sucker and started singing Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild".

There are so many wonderful moments that it is impossible to list them all. Probably one of the best is just being with each other for a week or so with no distractions. Realizing how much you truly enjoy each other's company. Thanking God that we were able to weather the rough times to get to where we are at now.

Yes, I had wonderful times seeing WDW through the eyes of our children. But it is just as wonderful (if not more so) experiencing WDW with the person who knows you better and loves you more than anyone else on earth.

ROFL well I gotta tell you I won't go back to the Brown Derby until my kids are grown, cause maybe we just had one of them witches that run around here for out server, I don't know but they were VERY VERY ... no wait... EXTREMELY unaccomodating to us with our kids the day we went there.

Also, I know that what RoadTrip says is very true. My best friend is a couple years older than me, his kids are all in collge now and he has explained to me in great detail how ... when the time comes ... you are more than ready and very happy to give your kids to the world and get them "the hell outta your house" as he eloquently puts it.

But for now, my oldest is only 11, then from there they are 7, 5, 3, 18 months, and the newest one will arrive in late May. So while I am far from ready to go at it with no kids, I know when the time comes I will be happy to be without them and ready to experience WDW or DL in a whole new light.

Ofcourse, this being said, we have no plans on ever stopping with the baby making machine so who knows...I may never get to do it RoadTrip's way.

Unfortunately it happens, even at WDW, but don't x it off your list for that -- too good to miss.
