    (It "sets" in one pan, and then you turn it out on a plate to serve, so you get the yummy carmel sauce that has gathered on the bottom. You've had upside down cake? Flan is upside down pudding.)

    That said, I'm sure it would set just fine in a fancy dish, but you wouldn't serve it in that, so why?

    I'm not so sure some of that stuff is gonna make it through airline security! LOL.


    Maybe we could all just take pictures of our stuff, slap it on a deck of cards at the Kodak website and make it the Unofficial Official LP Deck of Cards. lol.

When you bake an empty pie crust, for example you are baking a crust for a cream pie--the crust needs to be baked, but the filling doesn't, these little ceramic bbs go in the bottom of the crust. They keep the crust from "bubbling" up, and help it bake more evenly.

    I don't bake a whole lot of pies, much less empty pie crusts, but there you go, I have them if I need them!
