If Disney do a thrill park, that would be a real shame, not surprise, but a real shame.

The three days at Universal parks was great.

If it's run down or crappy though, I'd like to know because a friend of mine is soon moving to the Tampa area and I already told her she should check it out (she hates coasters, but likes zoos).

Then you should probably tell her to check out Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa instead. Last time I was at Busch, it had pretty much been taken over by coasters. They still had a small animal area, but not as many as in the old days. Still a fun park though if you like coasters.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your point of view) I don't use Disney as the litmus test for all amusement parks. Heck, I can even have fun at my church carnival.

Last summer I had a very nice day with the family at Wet 'n Wild in Orlando. Friendly staff, clean park, not Disney. I hope I didn't cause anyone to pass out.

IOA was never a thrill-only park.

Jungala is a great section that lets you get closer to Tigers that I have seen at any other park. The Sesame Street Safari of Fun is a really cool kids area. One of the neatest new additions is Walkabout Way where you can hand feed kangaroos and walabies. Then Cheetah Hunt will be a great addition to an already world class lineup of coasters and will renew another old section of the park.

    ----------------

what advertising I had seen always seem to target teenagers as the audience they were trying to reach. It's not Six Flags - no- but still housed and highlighted thrill rides
