His version wasn't country, but it was very cool. I just feel that Adam sang a version that was pretty out there and not true to the original song at all which was a mistake in my opinion. The judges though are always saying you have to be true to yourself as an artist and I feel like Adam was doing that albeit in a very weird way.

I think he should have made some attempt to honor the Grand Olde Opry, instead of just going off and completely doing his own thing.

I'm sure she is a lovely woman, I can't help myself. I think they both look ill. If they are, I'm really sorry I should keep my mouth shut :l

And, yes, I realize he can be "over the top", no argument there. He has me mesmerized everytime he performs tho! I really hope he can settle down one night and sing a song from his heart, without all the theatrics, eyeing the camera, etc. If he can do that, that seals the deal for me. I will stand down from the soapbox now...

It was sooooo refreshing after all the commercial pop/country/hiphop wannabees over the years. Here in the UK, I think he would be huge. (I only gave up wearing black nail polish when I started work in consultancy)

Not in a creepy old lady way either I just find him interesting. I agree that he has to stop eyeing the camera though. That is creepy/goofy. Labuda, thanks for the info on the makeup His does seem thicker than necessary, I hadn't thought about that.

Of course, maybe he got bad skin from wearing too much makeup! It may be a chicken and egg question.
