    I must say that we conservatives have dealt with many policies we dont approve of yet you never hear a Republican say " I am ashamed to be an American."
    Sometimes I think that if many of us Americans cared as much about what our fellow citizens thought about us as we do what the rest of the world thinks about us, we might be kinder and more accepting of differences between one another.

    I'm sometimes not sure some Reps have any shame. But I 'spect it's the same thing as the Reps saying that God is going to punish Amurka for having policies the Reps don't approve of.

    In any case, when, for example, my country tortures people, you're dang right I'm ashamed of it, and have no hesitation saying so. And I firmly, fundamentally believe that you should be too.
