Please forgive me if I think that someone who would obsess over such trivial garbage should 'get a life'. By the way… I still think that.

As far as I'm concerned both Rock N Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror are something of a stretch for the Studios. Sure... they are both set in Hollywood. But so are banks, clothing stores and bars. Should we have attractions centered on them also? But who cares? They are great attractions, and if they push the theme a little so what? Much the same with Expedition Everest in the AK. Sure, I know that once again it is set in Asia. And I know it deals with (superficially) an animal, even if it is an imaginary one. But once again, it is a fantastic attraction so who cares? These are after all AMUSEMENT parks. Well done, expensive, themed amusement parks; but amusement parks just the same. Where did all these rules come from all of a sudden?? Even Walt put Matterhorn right there in Fantasyland. Just what part of Matterhorn is fantasy?? Last I checked it was a very real mountain in Switzerland. Sure... the bobsledding down it is not terribly realistic. But let's face it... the attraction is there because it is a GREAT attraction and a GREAT weenie. Not because it fits the theme terribly well.

I wanted to defend my position well by offering up compelling specifics. Anyways, If we can't argue, persuade, analyse, anatomize, conjecture, theorize or philosophise then why come to a discussion board Mr. Trip? Better to stay home and watch "Alf", "Maude" or "Charles in Charge" reruns.

"insulting" is one of the appropriate descritions for Soarin'. And as for "The Land" pavilion: bananas.......... yes rain forests..... yes wind............. yes sun/moon......... yes rocks............ yes Main Street USA.. no one of these things doesn't belong here- one of these things isn't the same--- Can you guess which one doesn't belong here, now it's time to play our game. You dig?

The scents help, the wind helps, the hydraulic motors pivoting the carriages help .. but a FILM simply cannot be mentioned in the same breath as FULLY dimensional attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion or Indiana Jones.
