Since my state (WA) has an awesome transfer program, I will then transfer to a state university as a Junior and complete my BA. That will only cost about $4500 a year, and I will only be there for 2 years. While I really want my kids to go where ever they want to go, from a financial standpoint I really hope the choose one of the state universities here.

Between working part-time during my undergrad years through the private sector and work/study programs, along with getting a small Pell grant, and working full-time while going for my Master's at night, I was able to keep the costs down. Of course, I basically drove my health right into the ground by doing that, but I managed to finish my college education without taking on massive debt to do it. State universities are the way to go, if you can swing it. My education at CSU was fabulous and worth every penny.

It really is an awesome program, especially financially.

Since he had his AA transfer already, he decided to finish his BS in Accounting at the U of Oregon. He's currently taking his last class, Advanced Accounting, and then he'll graduate! $20,000 of tuition and books paid for by the government, and he'll have his BS soon! I'm so proud of him!
