I also like to have it when shopping with someone, in a mall or a place like Costco it's easy enough to make a quick "where in the heck are you?" or "I'm done at Macy's lets meet at Starbucks" call. For conversations I'd rather use my landline phone which is easier to balance on my shoulder/chin while I multitask. The thing I find MOST annoying is people who use their phones on attractions. We suffered through an entire loop on the DLRR as a man loudly made a chatty business call and then made a couple of calls to set up a babysitter so he and his wife could go to dinner the next week. His wife and daughters were with him for the ride but he wasn't with them. I don't get why he couldn't have just sat out the ride on a bench at the station and made his calls "in private." Also, what is with people needing to talk SO LOUDLY on their cell phones? DH's first mobile phone was in a carrying case, he also had to have an antenna installed in the van

I was warned in the literature that they gave me after the implantation, to not allow electronic devices to be nearer than 6 inches to my Pacemaker.

I like that anyone can reach me as well, if they find themselves in need. I couldn't even begin to count how many times a friend has texted or called me from Disneyland asking for directions or for restaurant help. But, there is a time and a place. You never text someone else in front of others, unless they've asked you to or if the person in front of you just gave you important info the textee needs to get. Plus, if it weren't for my cell phone and others, LP live would look pretty barren!

Not that I'm in control or anything but if someone is on an attraction and they take a call and say "I'm on Splash, meet me at Haunted" and then end the call, that's fine. It kills the moment but if someones kid or friend is trying to find them it's better to acknowledge it that have a frantic kid It's also just a moment not a "when is the idiot going to stop yakking" feeling. Funny thing, I initially wrote "pick up the phone and Hang up the phone"..... How old school

Great to have, and yes it did make communicating easier. However, it also gave people the free will when to use the cell phone, and the choice of how to behave when using the cell phone. People being people... Then of course there is the "Cell phone in America". The good USofA, where certain people they have the right to own a house, drive a car, and talk on the cell phone, otherwise their Civil Liberties are being infringed upon. And where kids have such a sense on entitlement, that the new i-phone is on this year's Santa must-have wish list (just like the Wii last year). My thoughts on a cell phone? Yuck! But it's here, and Pandora's box is open. Yes I have one. and i try to follow the same expectations I have of others when using the dang thing... It isn't easy, the devil is always there to tempt me, (excuse me - someone is trying to call)

It's like being in the funnest place on earth & living thru the "view finder" all the time & never really being in the present moment. Alot gets missed. But again---all in moderation & these devises can enhanse the trip.
