My kids love swimming so much, especially water play ground type things, they'd almost prefer that to an all day park trek. My daughter already made me promise we would find some time each day to swim in hotel pool. They love the parks but something about swimming, they just go nuts for it.

I bet your daughter will love that! Port Orleans is really awesome, but since your kiddos are still pretty little they will probably have more fun in the Little mermaid room. You will have so much fun at the water parks too! My kiddos are older, and they liked the bigger slides at Blizzard Beach and the bigger wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. Disney Quest was really fun too. We only spent a couple of hours in there, but it was a blast. "i was just looking at my premier pass i had for last year and was feeling sorry for myself lol." Me too Tasha! We had the Premier passes last year, and I miss them so much right now! My husband and I have a WDW trip this year, without the kids, but we don't have any DLR trips planned, so I can't justify the cost of the passes

This is what travel agents are for. Skip Disney Quest. And keep in mind it could get pretty cold meaning the water parks might not look too attractive. Even if you don't stay at Port Orleans, make time for Yee Ha Bob.

His sister asked him if he could take 3 things with him to a deserted island, what would he take? His reply was his Wii, Skylanders game w/characters, and some food. If it was just me and my husband, I might skip, but think it's a must do if only for a short while after dinner or something.

" I know, I am going through withdrawals, but I just can't pull it off this year. We are going to Hawaii sometime in the fall, and in the pat 12 months we have done 3 DL trips and one WDW trip, and have another WDW trip in June, so we have maxed out the vacation budget for the time being. I may be able to pull it off if I stop feeding the kids, but they get kind of cranky when I do that

I'm going to Hawaii in exactly a week, going to Las Vegas in October and at least 3 out of town long weekend trips. With the amount I travel it really is hard to splurge and pay a lot for a Disney vacation. My husband and i prefer more trips instead of one trip in a fancy hotel. Now that DL is most expensive now we will be going much less which is a good thing. Constance we will be going to WDW over the Xmas holidays. I much prefer WDW over DL that time of year. The weather is fantastic and the resorts are beautiful and the Osbourne lights are the best part. We will be spending only 4 or 5 days this time and the rest of the time will be at the Florida keys. We regretted going all the way to Florida last time and only stay at WDW.

It rained one of the days and I don't know if there is anything that feels worse than a cold rain. Southern California weather is usually very nice but there are always exceptions. The year my daughter graduated from college she said she wanted a trip to WDW to celebrate. I said there was no way I was going to Orlando in June, but that we would take her to DLR instead. Just my luck it was in the upper 90's the whole time we were there. My daughter took great joy in getting on the internet each day and pointing out to me that it was 10 degrees cooler in Orlando than in Anaheim. Our DVC points would have also gone a lot further at WDW than they did at the DLH (this was pre-Grand Californian). My bad.

I really wished we went to Florida instead this year and won't make the same mistake this time. Weather for me is probably the most important part of the vacation. Disneyland was beautiful for Xmas and DCA looked great too especially Carsland, but with all the resorts, gingerbread houses and Osbourne lights I prefer WDW for Christmas.

It is kind of cool in DL too, because as soon as it starts sprinkling a little people scramble like mad to get inside and the lines get really short.
