There are some great houses and apartments (not sure what you are looking for) within a few blocks of the hospital that overlook the water. There are some great restaurants on Colby Ave and the arena gets some great shows. Everett is also a pretty easy drive to Seattle and Bellevue so it is definitely better than Puyallup as far as convenience goes. Let me know if you have any specific questions about the area.
