    Ah thx TDLFAN!! I was wondering how the white trash was getting in! I mean i have seen REAL honest to god camaflouge baseball cap wearing hicks. And the smell! I thought it was maybe Magic Your Way or local deals. Now i know its the airlines.

    Ouch! Where do you live? Our local Metroplex has $5.25 matinees and $7.50 regular shows?

    same in Chicago range from 9.50 to 10.50 depending on just where for full price adult at a nice theatre.

    matinees also 7.50 and I believe student prices are 7.50 but might be 8.50 on weekends

    I would expect Boston to cost more than Loveland, CO. Our new metroplex has 14 screens.

    We might have to wait a bit longer for a movie release here, but you can't beat the price! Loved Narnia, by the way.

    I imagine the sharp increase in theater tickets has a lot to do with the fact that more people are enjoying a movie theater experience at home. With big screen tv's, surround sound systems, and DVD's available at cheaper and cheaper prices, not as many folks feel the need to rush out and see the latest films, when they can wait a few months and watch it from the comfort of their own couch.

    For many movies that is true -- but unless you have a $10K- $20K system at home -- movies like Kong / Harry Potter etc will always be a different experience @ the theatre - let alone IMAX
