I dunno about this. From what I've seen in the newsclips, it seems more like Dad was standing tough and defending his kid, and the kid was just giving Dad the answers he thought he wanted. Any kid will embellish a situation, and I'm sure this one made things out to be worse than they really were. It's not that much of a reach for a dad to want to take his kid to a hospital if the kid was compaining of neck pain. And any shyster lawyer can convince an ordinary family that there's big money to be made from a simple encounter.

Or Dad may be a money hungry fathead. I just don't want to jump on either bandwagon too quickly.

I agree. But I can see Dad getting upset, and the kid embellishing to make Dad feel better. So I'm thinking it's more a case of the thing getting blown way up, but not exactly by the family sitting down, rubbing their evil hands together and saying "let's see how much money we can bleed out of this little nothing of an incident!"

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened though. Some people will do anything to make a buck. I read in the news the other day where a man was intentionally poisoning his children's soup so he could sue Campbell's. The kids are alive, but he put them in the hospital. Some people will stoop to anything. I don't know if that's the case here, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

I would like to see this update go on all those sensational newscasts just like the original footage did. Word needs to get out to anyone thinking of trying to set up Disney and squeeze them dry.

How sick and demented is that. You want to harm yourself that's one thing but your children for monetary purposes or any purpose for that matter. Horrible.

This doesn't quite match the story:

    tories_view.php/1912/tigger_set_free.html >>>

All that story says is that the district attorney has determined that there was no probable cause to believe that Tigger committed a crime. So, he will not be prosecuted in criminal court for something like assault.

This has nothing to do with any possible civil claim or lawsuit the family may bring against Disney, other than they won't get the slam-dunk evidence that a criminal conviction would have given them. But, I'm not so sure that we've heard the last of this situation.

To me it looked like the kid always appeared pretty embarrassed in the interviews and was just there because his Dad made him.
