Yeah, in the video, he looks like a punk kid looking for trouble & the later he looks more clean cut little boy with glasses that has never done anything wrong.

I think the dad was right the first time & then realized "hey, I could probably make a buck or two"
America produces more & more horrible people everyday. Everyone is so selfish & resentful all the time. I am very afraid for my generation & who will end up being President in about 20-30 years....it's absolutely the most frightful thing to think about. Why are parents afraid to be parents?!

I wonder if I should sue Disney for an incedent when I was about 9. Captain Hook was signing my autograph book & hit it with his hook causing a hole. It was emotionally traumatizing. I think I laughed, I mean cried, about it all day...

Any benifit of the doubt and slight sympathy I had for this family is now gone!

Sadly, this case will end up with a settlement. Even if the investigation reveals the kid tried to pull on the zipper or knock Tigger's head off, the reaction of grabbing the arm and pushing the kid in the face will probably be deemed inexcuseable. Disney will settle and Tigger will probably be removed from being a character.

I hope the settlement also has a provision that the family is not permitted to ever set foot on any Disney property. Sort of a "right to refuse service" clause. Wishfull thinking I know.:(

Seriously! There is no way in heck that the "slap" injured the boy. I sure hope he gets teased endlessly by his friends about this. I mean, who would honestly want to admit to being beat up by Tigger? And, after everyone sees the video and rolls their eyes it will be even worse because the kids a wimp!

I hope they get nothing. Even if it's Tigger's fault, it's in no way a "traumatizing" experince, and I'd LOVE to see what "medication" the kid has been put on...

She reached over (my daughter) to touch Tiggers nose. Tigger freaked out and grabbed my daughter and pushed her and my wife out of his way and ran away. Now, I don't knwo what caused that reaction, but you DO NOT push a 16 month old BY THE HEAD out of your way. He was in no harm at all.

I wonder if it was th esame guy. This was on Friday morning what happened to us.

My wife and daughter are fine, but if they wouldn't have been, or if they had fallen, Tigger would have had my foot up his costumed butt.

What kind of news organization accepts outside source video, from the very people that the story is about, and then airs it as fact -- without at least some level of independent verification?

But wait! It was verified! They asked the family members, and they all said "Yes, it is true!"

    Puke.

I sent an email to the station today,I was so upset about it. Can you imagine if they had come on air with the opposing opinion and said there is no question that this punk kid messed with Tigger and set him up for a lawsuit. People would be outraged by that kind of "reporting". But since its a boy vs big corporation they are tilting it this way. Its disgusting. I'm so sick of the media, ambulance chasers and greedy wanna victims.

    End of rant.

Happens all the time, sadly. Ever heard of a "video news release"?

We never had any bad feelings about it and it is actually kind of a funny memory.
I think it is obvious that that boy had done something to Tigger. It looked like Tigger was in pain. I think he pinched him and that is why Tigger clamped down on his arm. If that were my kid, he would be toast.
It's bad enough that WDW has to worry about the small and freak accidents that can happen with the floats and costumes and rides, but now, people diliberately provoking a response or attempting to injure cast members? This is so sad.
There is a good solution to some of this. They should have people like the photopass people with digital video cameras who video the characters. They could offset the costs by selling the dvd video of the client's encounter with the character the way they sell the photos. Maybe just knowing that someone is always watching will be enough to deter these mental midgets.

Now that I've seen the video, it's disgustingly clear that the family should be dealt with. I hope the kid went to the hospital with his dad to get their eyes checked. There's no way Tigger did that with even the slightest degree of malice. This smells like a shady guy wanting to make a few quick bucks. Hopefully, the CM will be reinstated fairly quickly
