The famous "neck injury" scheme! I love it! This gets better all the time! Maybe we can get Clay Akin, Kelly Rippa, Rosy O'Donnel, and Hair Man: Donald Trump involved ... and turn this into a season long Reality TV Series! The bitch fest to end all! (Hope Disney rubs the family's face into the mud! They got it coming!)

Funny they waited til the next day. Guess they were too busy in front of the cameras on the day of the incident to make sure poor junior got proper medical attention. Jerks.

Speaking of which, if they were in front of cameras all day long, are there any pictures of what the kid looked like after? I would expect him to show at least some visible signs of damage, based on what they are claiming happened, but I just doubt that there was anything even remotely visable.

At least, I GUESS it's the Mom that said that. I doubt it was some random stranger. Fact is, kids (and adults) mess with the characters all the time. Pulling on them, grabbing them, trying to take off the costumes, etc... This is one case where the performer lost it, and it was captured on tape. But, that kid was INJURED? Pulleeze.

I hope that Disney (if self-insured) or insurance lawyers give in to this *&*^#$@. If this were being litigated in my state, the case would be thrown out. Oh wait, Disney did litigate in my state last year! ;-)

Funny thing is the doctor he used at the time wasn't licsened(sp) to practice. So the case ended up getting thrown out and I didn't have to pay a dime. So this "neck problem" doesn't surprise me.

I was referring to the costumed butt part. That whole story about the wife and 16 month old was just totally unbelievable and designed to create a controversy. I meant it only in the nicest of ways regarding the response. I was in complete agreement with how foolish this whole thing is. I also take exception to the repeated use of the phrase, "he lost it". That film shows no such thing...only a reaction to something happening and a obvious, to me at least, slight loss of balance. If he had lost it he would have reacted verbally and not stayed in character. Let's face it, this is just a no class group of people trying to make the "deep pockets" of Disney grease their lives. They do not care who gets hurt in the process only that they get what they want. I find them to be the most despicable type of people on the planet. Pure white trash!

Originally Posted By barboy DAR, "Two months later, TWO MONTHS, I get a piece of paper saying I was being sued" Well, last I heard in California one has up to a year to address injury claims. "it was causing problems in the bedroom." Don't tell me.....that sorry piece of mucus tried to sue you on some "loss of consortium" theory. This epitomizes why AS A WHOLE I totally disrepect the legal profession and legal system. "So the lawyer representing my insurance company" Actually, most likely even though your insurance company is the one who hired and paid the fees the lawyer(fiduciary) had an obligation to represent/defend you(principal). "I didn't have to pay a dime" Based on how trivial your collision was it would have been highly unlikely that you would have had to pay something even if it went all the way to trial and a jury awarded the complainant a number beyond your policy limits.
