Granted they are birds so that part makes sense but hoenstly if your going to add in new charecters have them add soemthing to the story. It's the same thing with TSMM. why the toy story charecters? why not MIMM, or FNMM

Woody was climbing all over a bathroom stall for Pete's sake! Why do you think those scenes were in the movie? Because of me. Bringing attention to Disney toilets since 2004.

I am a long time stockholder, and fan...but that does not make me blind and deaf and dumb. The QUALITY of the parks means many things- 1/ value for the investment 2/ more of what one deems important - for me that is live enterainment as only Disney can do it theme park wise, unique experiences that do not include 20 inversions and 70 degree drops to make someone's excitement level raise 3/ innovative approaches to presentations, that exceed expectations and are better than any competition 4/ quality sound/lighting - and condition of all aspects of the parks 5/ unique merchandise at all price levels - high end as well as low end and a totally engulfing experience for 1st timer or many time returner. If you are going to tell me I don't know quality- or don't remember it correctly or selectively, I am not THAT old. There are always issues anywhere you run 30,000 or so people thru a day..unavoidable. However the volume of those has been rising for 5+ years.. the quantity of live entertainment- from formal shows to 'street ' entertainment drops every year from less people supplying experiences in EPCOT to the ridiculous like a recording for the Land. Rides like the Haunted Mansion were allowed to reach virtual slum status before being refurbished just a few years ago. Holiday offerings cut back each year and for 'extras' that wewre once there all the time you have to buy hard ticket event passes to get today. I don't bitch and complain about the prices because things everywhere are expensive but I demand quality in return. And spare me the seeing things thru other peoples eyes. I grew up on the south side of Chicago where today the History channel chronicles the activities of the most notorious gangs in the country...I went to a virtually armed high schooland these people were my friends and not my friends at the same time...and saying my parents were poor in an understatement, so I don't need to 'visit' to get what you are hinting at. I have also spent the last 25 years plus volunteering my time in the Chicago Public schools to give back... and yet I somehow can see the quality slippage at WDW. ( if you are saying those who live day to day survival would see the parks differently- is that really an argument for quality not slipping or a 'well no kidding' social commentary ?) Quality has had peaks and valleys imho over the few years- some better than others- the only constant is loss of 'live' interaction. I give credit where credit is due, and criticize where needs be but yes feel very confortable making the 'quality has slipped' general statement ...I enjoy my DVC purchase of 15 years ago and actually belive it is an area they have mostly lived up to the standards I expect and demand from Disney. So sorry for being harsh..but many of those who make the comments here are veterans of the parks..and even those deemed too close have a right to their opinion also, just as you do The 'hollow argument' sounds very much like senior management in denial...and yes I would know, it's where I have spent the better part of the last 20 years, although not for Disney. I have watched companies who were once industry giants virtually disappear from the landscape..drop from the DOW and take so many lives with them. It's not a future I want for the Disney company because I have an emotional investment in them..I would like my grandchildren to have the diversionary experiences from them I was privileged to have from the early days of watching MMC on a neighbors TV .. to what I enjoy today. try not to take it prsonally but I found this bold statement from you very ironic in that a statement on generality of comments was based on a stereotype ( generality) itself <<<

And specific complaints really do sink home. I applaud the continued discussion as long as it does not have they're not the generalized "Disney parks aren't just as good a quality as they used to be." Gee, I remember the nineties and Disneyland had a lot of negatives and deserved some comments. But that park seems to look real good now. Yes, I think some of the WDW parks have lost their way. I mainly think its because its too big and should have one WDI person down here for each park. That is not what they have.
